Again, change spark plugs at the recommended intervals and you were probably okay. Try to stretch the intervals, and big problems.

I have plenty of hate for the 5.4 3V but I have seen some with big miles. The bottom ends are solid. If you keep up on the timing chains, guides, tensioners, cam phasers, oil pumps, roller rockers, plugs/coils, they do seem to run reliably for a long time.
