Factory was 160,000 km IIRC, like for most platinum/iridium plugs nowadays. Nicely outside warranty  :D

Think the new plugs might be a better design

Wow. 486k is impressive. I have plenty of hate for the 5.4 3V but I have seen some with big miles. The bottom ends are solid. If you keep up on the timing chains, guides, tensioners, cam phasers, oil pumps, roller rockers, plugs/coils, they do seem to run reliably for a long time.

Who knows.  Looks ok from a distance but no interior pics or info.   If it has no major issues $15k is a decent price.

That GAZ is awesome. If I had not just bought the MX5 ...

The rear axle looks rather like a Toyota truck as well. I wonder if they slide the whole Toyota truck frame underneath. We rode in a '57 Chevy with that setup in Cuba. Drove really nice.
