Would go with none of those and get a 6sp Maserati Spyder or import the nicest 916 Alfa Romeo Spyder 3.0V6 out there.
If you just want to hang out on the shoulder of the road waiting for a tow truck, you can just work part time at the AMA lol

Wow.  That's quite a few grand more than you paid if I recall.

And man, those do look best in silver.

The black one I posted is $15k more than I paid

The market is crazy right now, although I guess just like with housing, it's only a benefit if you have something to sell and not replacing with something else.

This is $20k higher than what I paid when it was new, and about $6k higher than MSRP

^^  Nice patina. :o

My  81 Aries was a 4 speed manual. Not sure when they introduced the 5 speed. I would think most of these were sold with automatics unlike Honda's of similar vintage.

My BAT pick of the day has to be this thing...hot damn I want one of these.  Hell I'd even take this one with its funky interior.
1966 Mustang
Just look how pretty that is... :inlove:  :fall: :flowers: It's even in the absolutely best colour/stripe pkg too...

You can always change the interior to black...

Wow, that interior is truly hideous!  :hurl:

Personally I prefer white stripes on a blue car.

The interior looks expensive but not very nice.

This Rover looks like a nice deal for an unusual classic.

I wonder how this will eventually compare to the $34.5K it costs for a brand new one, vs a 28 year old one.

I'll tell you what, this 27 year old Ranger will be more reliable the new one, even if the new one is a 'better' truck.  Those old Rangers are basically bulletproof.  If rust doesn't get 'em, they'll run forever.  I would say they're easily the equivalent of a similar era Toyota Tacoma.  But they don't have the insane valuation that the Toyota's have, so you can actually afford to buy one and use it as a truck if you need one.

What's visible in that door jam tells me everything I need to know about this; striker plate is painted over, weather stripping is old and has overspray on it, threshold plate fits poorly. Those sorta things often tell the story between a car that was built with a cheque book vs. a car that was built with passion and care.

That said, I actually kinda dig the seats, just maybe not in this car.

:iagree: Similar can be said for 4.3L S-series trucks of that era, and even the 2.8s to some extent.

Yeah I saw that when I was posting it too...oh well, would still make one helluva fun driver.  My car, I'd get the bottom sprayed with the same boxliner in my truck box, rubbery-ish (Reflex IIRC), tough as fack, and the drive the balls off it.
