That is pretty darn neat and unique but I did not see that price tag coming!

The blue one is British - Hillman Avenger based, the yellow is Japanese - Mitsubishi Colt based. Both super rare these. Friends of mine had a blue Hillman based one years ago. Almost bought it from them but it was automatic. Bounced around a few owners afterwards.

53 yr old me this AM:
Hey! Look what I found!  Awesome! Just raise it back to stock height, replace the mirrors, and it'd make a great tow vehicle!!  ;D O0
2019 Ford F-150 Roush supercharged

My 24 yr old son:
That'd be stupid. Have you looked outside? (this is this AM and we've had more since)  Un-driveable.  :(

Such a buzzkill.  He's the anti dream catcher.  If it's not logical...according to him, it's dumb.  Where did I go wrong.  Had my dad ever suggested something like that I would've (still probably) been ALL over it! Yes! Do it!

Then again he's the one who paid cash for his Mustang, the Seadoo, his motorcycle, and has probably 30+ large in the bank for a house by now too (although looking at house prices he may never move out  :'().  Who am I to question his logic and reasoning.  Or whatever word I'm looking for.  :P

Buzzkill.

Does he listen to Dave Ramsey, the "Debt is Dumb, Cash is King" guy?  If your son hates debt, then you raised him right.

He actually read the Wealthy Barber when he was about 14-15 (can't recall exactly when) - and he's been working at it ever since.  He is nothing if not financially solid.  I was never like that when I was young, I wouldn't have read the book...he is truly wise with his money.  Most of the time...90% plus of the time.  Probably more.

$175,000 for a Mustang? Seriously? Am I out to lunch on pricing or is this ridiculous.

Yeah, that practice needs to end and dealerships need to be punished for doing so. Let the cars languish until they are begging to get the car off the lot.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I actually have no problem with it. No one is putting a gun to your head to buy a sports car. If they can get this price good for them.

But the best thing to do to stop this is to not pay it.

I 100% agree with Vman here. If someone is stupid enough to pay it, good on ya, one born every day. With the advent of the internet, there is literally zero reason for people to be that badly ripped off when buying a car. I hope it rots in the showroom as well, but yeah, let the market speak.
Lighten up Francis.....

Lots of cars I would want but others are willing to pay way more for. Like air cooled VWs. You either pay up or move on.

Yeah, at least you can walk in off the street and actually buy it. You don't have to play games like with some Porsches or Ferraris.

Saw a story about a dealer in the U.S. offering 992 GT3 allocations at MSRP as long as you bought a discounted, leftover 2020 Taycan Turbo S. Can easily flip the GT3 when it arrives for $70k+ in profit but how much will the Taycan depreciate in that time? Works out if you wanted a Taycan anyways though.

Historic or historical?

from English Grammar Today

Historic means ‘important or likely to be important in history’:

I feel that this is a historic moment for our country.

When the Berlin wall came down, it was a historic occasion.

Historical means ‘related to the study of things from the past’:

I love reading historical novels.

Archaeologists found a large number of historical objects when they excavated the field.
