Yes.  I'm sure even if used as a "parts" car it would be worth a pretty penny.

None of these claims happened on a race track, of course.

Bids opened at 40k and stopped at $50k. Was not declared sold, I’m guessing the seller wants between 60-70k.

I'm not surprised.

Last week an E30 sold on BaT for $35,500. 154k miles, modded and tracked, repainted pale yellow: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-bmw-m3-123/

Other M3s that have sold in the $40s have all had a crapload of miles (150k-200k+). Another one sold a few months ago for just over $30k but it was also a track car.

So despite that ridiculous history I'm not surprised they want more than $50k CAD.

Wow. Used toy prices have gotten ridiculous.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Not all of them.  How about a 1999 10th Anniversary Edition Miata for a really good price?

Is that like the one on here where you could put your feet through the floor and run like Fred Flintstone?  :rofl2:

I think Chaos is far too relaxed about life with the Jag.  He needs to buy this to really spice things up!

The luxury of a Honda and the reliability of a Rover.  :rofl2:

I had a friend that had a few of those. It had a staggering amount of issues for something with a Honda engine. The concept should have worked but somehow didn't.

The Japanese reliability part of the equation referred only to the engine.  The British tradition part shone through in reliability and build quality. :rofl2:

The Alfa Romeo ARNA got it totally backwards as well - a combo of Japanese style and Italian build quality/reliability.
