The 3.3l v6 was designed by the same person as the slant six.

^^ That is interesting. The 3.3 sat in the engine bay the same way a traditional rear wheel engine would in the Intrepid.

Would be interesting to swap out the slant 6 for this engine in a Dart or Valiant. Maybe someone has done it ?

The LH platform was based on the Eagle Premier, which was a stretched Renault 25 platform.  Renault preferred longitudinally-mounted engines for years.  Le Cars (R5) had them, and so did the 12, 18, Fuego, and Medallion (R21).

^^ Looks to be in really good shape.

Too bad about the two-tone body cladding and cheesy stickers. And those chrome door handles and fuel-filler door, ugh.  :P

Thank you for checking!

No problem!  Engine produces 253 hp, btw.

The LHS actually would have had the "low-output" 3.5 that the Intrepid ES, Concorde etc. had, and not the "High-Output" one that was seen in 300M, 300M Special, Intrepid R/T, Intrepid SXT and '04-only Concorde LXI.

Output would be 234hp.

High output cars were 250 and 255 for the 300M Special, respectively.

Source: Back when I had my supercharged Intrepid R/T (with NOS, lol, I was 19) I spent a LOT of time on the LH-car forums.

That said, $7,980 USD for any LH-car today is peak insanity, especially the old-man spec LHS with no Auto-Stick, EVIC, or anything else. I'm fairly sure the '01 LHS didn't even get the heated seats (though 300M seats would bolt right in, and the body harnesses on 01+ cars are pre-wired for heat). I think I'd still rock a 300M Special as a daily if it was extremely clean, but would have to be immaculate and even then, $5,000 max.

1K miles a year?!?

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

My 1992 Mustang only has 85k kms on it. But came from the NWT - so maybe just local trips? Not many roads to use?

CoViD-induced pursestrings tightening/layoff/small business closure...

Rotten stuff happens.  While working at the embassy in Sarajevo, one of our colleagues bought a new SUV (Ssangyong Rexton) in November 2008, and in April 2009, we announced that the Harper regime had decided to close the embassy.  She and her husband returned it to the dealer, lost about 2000 Euros...

Why wouldnt stay on a Hyundai lot?

Might not have been financed through Hyundai.

Or the car was traded at another dealership and wholesaled or auctioned off.

Maybe a Demo?

1985 Plymouth Gran Fury
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-Plymouth-Gran-Fury/393088754791?hash=item5b85ea6467%3Ag%3AJBQAAOSw2ihf-Q7m&LH_ItemCondition=3000%7C1000%7C2500

Nice to see the Plymouth version of these M-bodies.

Nice...those seats look comfy too.  I can't recall if they were or not (same seats were in my Diplomat), but they look like it.  All the new cars have stupid 19" length cushions...fackers and their "leg room" bullchit. Fack that, give me CUSHION!!!  Another reason to keep my "old" Fusion.  Tried a new one and it's like sitting on a bar stool in comparison.  Full 2" shorter in the leg carrying capabilities.
