No convincing you, so will not argue.

But I like the look of these little things, FWD does not matter if the chassis is good, and these actually are pretty reliable - not much to go wrong.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

It is.

It matters.

That same chassis with RWD wouldn't be any better than FWD?

Nonsense.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

For the driving this little roadster does, not really. Meagre power, good chassis...FWD can handle that just fine. My short test drive in one did not have me complaining. Buzzy eager little thing that wanted to rotate.

Would RWD be better? Sure. Would anyone notice driving it around anywhere but on a track? Not really.

I'd rock the Fiat. Its probably not as good as a Miata as a car but is it is interesting and unique here. Probably drives great even with the fwd. Orange is an odd colour. Some shades are amazing (like my old Fairlady Z) or hopeless (like the orange Ram trucks). This one is kind of between the two.

I slide the a$$ end of my Miata around every chance I get.  It's fun, I purposely didn't get super grippy tires  just so I could.

Thats the issue, the MX5 is still the king of cheap, fun, proper sports cars. Hell, its a 4 banger and I still really want one badly.

Just for fun, I looked at what seems to be the oldest vehicle for sale on Trader:

Note: it's a restomod of sorts, but a cool one!

I love the T-roadster. I want to build one someday.

The pricing on the LHS is crazy sauce even with the low mileage.

Guy at work had a minty LHS. Was proud of it. It WAS real nice...as nice as the one in the ad (but a better color).

Then one day the engine went KA-BLAM. And that was the end of that car.

The ad says it has a 3.5 V6. Didn’t these have a 3.2? At least it’s not the 2.7. A friend’s car (Intrepid) turned into a lawn ornament after its 2.7 seized.

VIN decodes as the 3.5 V6.

There was nothing wrong with the Chrysler 3.2/3.5 engines, they were solid. Most died because owners never changed out the timing belts....

They were non-interference till 98 I believe, after that they were after Chryco redesigned the heads for more power. The 3.3 was an OHV cam in block design with a chain, the same as they used in the minivans up until 2010. That is a great little engine, last forever if looked after.
