Oh hell yeah.  I'd drive that.  I'd do something with that gawdawful 145 HP 318, but that thing looks nice!  There are days when I wish I had kept my 81 Diplomat wagon...by now I could've probably dumped thousands into it making it drive even better...I loved that thing.

At this price level I'd rock it as a "press dump" (but in the end may end up a car hoarder like Firm  ;D)

I think probably replacing all that horrible smog restricted crap should easily double your horsepower.
Lighten up Francis.....

Fair price, I'd say.  Not a colour combo I'd bid on, believe it or not.

I don't think I've ever mentioned this.  For my best friend's wedding in 1985, we had three silver on silver Fifth Avenues for the wedding party, thanks to a local rental agency.

Wow that thing was a beauty! I agree Bubba, the color combo wasn’t ideal, I like the white but not the blue landau top. My favourite 5th ave would be dark blue on blue leather.

What do you guys think of this unit?

Fob has got me looking at 4Runners again...

I'd wanna go thru the service records very closely to see what has been replaced and how long ago. At this point there's probably a few tired suspension components and how frequently have all the fluids been changed. Seems like the diff fluids and transfer case should be changed quite frequently if it's under heavy loads.

Have you driven one before? The seating position isn't the greatest and that 4.0 is slow revving dog of an engine, reliable as :censor:, but not much excitement. I test drove the V8 version back in the day & that really made a difference.

I was going to see it tomorrow, but it sold :( Not surprised though.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Couldn't help myself in the effort to find Bubba the perfect car...unfortunately, this is all I could find...
Local 1984 5th Ave - only $2500!
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/portage-la-prairie/1984-fifth-avenue/1538805418
I'm sure the beauty shot makes it better...

Super low k's (or likely it's been flipped three times and it has 336,000 km...)
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/north-bay/1986-chrysler-5th-ave/1537278940
$4500
What is with people and their shitty pictures...

Oooo...al-u-min-ium wheels!  And blue on blue...those wheels are 'spensive!!
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/edmonton/1987-chrysler-fifth-avenue/1501426802
$7000 - no way Jose!

I think I actually prefer the cloth in this one.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/bridgewater/1987-chrysler-fifth-avenue/1541450645
And it's only $2500, and he aint lyin' about  how many km it's got.  Well, maybe...

Looks like a nice place for a nap!

A dope smokin' Albertan...$5g...but but...it has Tremendous HISTORY! (Trump fan??) Yay!! Grandpa drove it, probably pee'd on the seat...and dropped cigarette ash for those special burn holes...whoop-dee-doo.  ::)
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/grande-prairie/1989-chrysler-fifth-avenue/1539503193
And no whitewalls and ugly spoked hubcaps...

Thankfully I also found the engine replacement for anyone of them...how about $3g for a HEMI?  Old school too.  O0
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/saskatoon/331-hemi-for-rebuild/1526290498
That would look cool in the 5th Ave's engine bay...

And then no...it hit me!! I DID find a car for Bubba...

Man, I've been dreaming of a Lotus Evora S lately...  It would be very hard to choose this vs. a Cayman S.
