Since we're on a Mercedes kick this morning.... this thing is a serious GT sleeper that would catch a lot of people off guard when you put the hammer down!! Maybe we should send Bubba to test drive it for us  :stick:  ;D

A Facebook car ad. Girl selling a 2007 Civic states. "oil change was done before I bought it" A prospect asks; "how long have you owned it?" She replies; "I've had it for 5 years now and its been reliable" He asks; "so you've never had the oil changed?" She says; "No, it was done by the previous owner already, I've added oil when necessary"
He politely replies; "ok, thanks for your time" She was flamed pretty hard after that lol.

This belongs in the "some people" thread, I couldn't find it though. Still, it was on the interwebz and had to do with a car lol.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

That would be a wallet emptying maintenance bill when something goes wrong.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Back when Edmund's ran its well-loved InsideLine car mag, they would add used cars to their long term fleet. The kind of used cars an enthusiast would buy. They had a 911, pre-P-Car bubble, and a CL-Class AMG.

Their final report includes their complete expenses:

The amount is nuts.  Then consider the 41 days in the shop.

I think the previous version (BMW 3.0) was better looking than the 6 series.
