You sure?  Because you just cross shopped one with a Stagea!  :rofl2: ;D

(to be fair, I missed that it was you who posted about wanting the Stagea....)
I'm sure.

Which is why i didn't bother correcting an error you made in the previous post. :)

What was my error?
Probably getting out of bed this morning  :rofl2:

LOL.  My error was missing that it was Ron who posted about wanting a stagea.  I didn't mean to challenge him on JDM knowledge, lol.

While I won't argue, the other 2 Crowns on autotrader are sedans and come with the Lexus' 4.3L V8. A buddy had an '86 Crown and it had a CD already, later models came with a fridge, in certain packages. So, while Japan now has a Lexus brand, Crown cars are still pretty darn impressive in the luxury department.

Up to 2005, they also had the Celsior in Japan....which was the LS here.

Depending on who you argue with, some would say the Celsior was above the Crown until then too.

^^ That's the cool build that was in all the articles and ads at the time. Silver ES Turbo with the Shelby wheels - but the two-doors were 400's, not 600's - typo in the listing. Edit - memory banks recall that at some point these Dodges were all upped to the 600 badge, perhaps with the '84 refresh that brought the wrap-around taillights. Same year as our then-new E-Class aka the LeStretchBaron.

Who wanted a turbo 2.3 Fox body?
1988 Mustang LX convertible - $3500 - not even a bad price considering...
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/chatham-kent/1988-mustang-lx-convertible/1526203935

...considering...
1989 Mustang Fox-Body 5.0 $16,000 (I'm floored constantly by people who think these are worth that much...)
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/oakville-halton-region/1989-mustang-fox-body-5-0l/1525059703

Case in point #2
600+ HP 1988 MUSTANG ASC MCLAREN $35,000
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/st-catharines/very-rare-beautiful-600-hp-1988-mustang-asc-mclaren/1520799779

For $5000 more you can get a 2019 5.0 ragtop...hmmm... what would you do!?

Much as I love the classics...I'd get the '19.

I saw that Manata - kinda cool. Already sold. There is another (odd given how rare they are) but without the glass which is likely impossible to source.

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/calgary/manta-montage/1530613029

That Crown is all sorts of weird from the wrap to the green engine.

The V8 Fox body values have gone crazy - maybe it will drag my four cylinder car up in value too  ;D

Yep. Basic LT1 4th gens don't command the $ that the SLP or LS1 (or SLP LS1) cars do. $8500 is a fair price for that, but I wouldn't consider it a deal....There's about a dozen on my local kijiji in that price range (LT1 T/As and Z28s) to choose from.

The 97 SS is more interesting to me... 97 is my favorite year for 4th gens (pre-face lift exterior, updated interior, final year for the LT1), and SS cars a pretty rare (under 2000 built I believe, all numbered and tracked in a registry). Price is decent too....I sold mine (which was also a 30th anniversary package car, but automatic vs. the 6-speed in this one) for the same money 3 years ago.

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/lethbridge/1965-corvair-monza-for-sale/1528457525

Could I live with an automatic? I really want a Corvair and this one looks reasonable. No price which usually means the seller is delusional.
