We have a winner!

80 Volare Wagon. Slant-six, 4 speed manual.

Could you option it that way? Didn't know you could get a 4 barrel on a slant 6, thought they were all 2 barrels. Interesting car

Too bad it didn't come in brown. ;D

No underhood pics so I can't confirm if there's a 4bbl.  That would not be stock as 1 or 2bbl were OEM.

I approve of the Volare long roof!
It's been for sale for a while on several FB forums.

That wagon is all kinds of awesome!  Just needs a V8.

This Lipstick Edition has been for sale before.  Pretty sure it's somewhere else in this thread, couple years ago maybe.

^ I was shocked at that result....Yes, it's an extremely well preserved car, and it's not like 5K mile examples are all over the place (unlike certain 'special edition' cars). That said, it's a later model with the dual Zenith carbs and rubber overrider bumpers - I personally perfer the later cars, but traditionally it's been the earlier cars with more power, lighter weight, and no overriders that enjoyed the highest values. Also, that black rocker-guarded engine bay is a shame....Unacceptable on a car of this caliber and price. Hopefully the buyer is able to dissolve it some varsol and recover the original paint underneath. Subjective, but I am also not a huge fan of the color.

Definitely bodes well for TR6 values in general. The collect car market appears to be on fire recently and I can't really justify/explain it entirely....So we'll see whether it's sustained.

My brother had one of the best preserved TR6's I've ever seen, it wasn't particularly low mileage, but a near perfect 1-previous owner, totally original car. The engine bay, for example, had perfectly glossy original paint. Took him a year or so to sell it and I think it went somewhere in the $25K (USD) range maybe 3 years ago. I think it would easily break $40K in today's market.

Cute little TR, and nice garage mate too! 308 / 328 GTB or GTS? That TR6 was a '75 just like mine. The BaT car received Ziebart when new, a hotly debated topic in the auction comments!

Yeah that's lovely. Evil Twin had one of those. Pretty much the exact same spec IIRC. I think brown interior though.

Yep: https://www.autos.ca/forum/index.php?topic=83880.0

A 2008, same blue exterior, but the cream/beige interior.   However NOT a stick.    Obviously the manual would be extra awesome, but this was my wife's car.

Replaced it in 2018 with the Q7 once we needed a bit more room [and something new].

Reliability started getting iffy once it was about an 8yr old car with 120k+ on it, but pretty great experience overall.

Right, I remember that.

Your car was Jerez though, this one is Monaco. Both great colours IMO.

I always loved Jerez on the E90 M3.

I am shocked at that TR6 price. Wow. So many really nice ones out there for a fraction of the price that one could actually drive as well.  :o

It was a really nice TR, last I heard it's in Wisconsin now. That's the garage at my parents place, my dad re-finished it a couple years back. The Ferrari in the shot is my dad's 308 GTS, though my brother has a nearly identical one in red as well.

While that's cool..I'd much rather a Nissan Stagea wagon for a JDM vehicle.

Could be had with older GT-R powerplant...

They're two different types of cars, though.  The Stagea was a mid-range, sporty wagon.  The Toyota Crown is the pinnacle of luxury in the brand.  Don't forget, Lexus is mostly a NA brand, and are really nothing more than rebranded JDM Toyotas.  For example, the JDM Toyota Celsior is the Lexus LS.  The Toyota Crown is closely related to the Lexus GS.

The Crown Wagon is therefore a sort of 'uber-wagon' catering to those wanting ultra luxury, rather than sporting pretensions.
