The Mustang suffered from being not long enough and too small wheels which gives it a short and stubby look. Size wise it should have been based on the Maverick (which was, of course, pretty old mechanically). This one is a pretty darn nice MII but the location is going to be a huge factor I think.

About 4½ inches shorter than the Fox Mustang that followed. This is a case where a restomod approach, with wheels bigger than the oem 13 inchers, would help.



The Mustang II was Pinto-based, but remember that the Pinto did rather well in SCCA races - the Mentor had built quite a Pinto a must say.

Enjoy it while it lasts! Those last 5 yrs...it's all you got!  I can't read small print anymore...unless I take my glasses off, and have bright light.  Those stupid directions for weed killer?? Nope...can't read it.  Thank god for iPhones!  Take a pic, and zoom in on the screen.  I'm a mere 2 yrs...almost 3  :o - past 50, the Dr wasn't kidding when he said they'd go to shi#!  Over the hill...on my way down!
