I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

How about some sweet old customs...like this:
1987 Trans Am - $6000
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/barrie/1987-pontiac-trans-am-custom/1520592852

Seems like a smokin' deal if you wanna be seen...compared to this monstrosity.
1969 Corvette for $28,000...too much.  Maybe $4500...
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/mississauga-peel-region/69-custom-corvette/1518455435

Hmmm are Kijiji images no longer working??

C'mon Bubs!!  That TA would be wicked!

Speaking of wicked Pontiacs (and damn, AZ! Rust free!) - I've always wanted one of these.  Probably still the best look GP Pontiac ever made.  Don't you wish you could still go south?
2000 Pontiac GTP supercharged - $3,400
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/d/gilbert-2000-pontiac-gtp-supercharged/7187229303.html

Too bad it's bright red, but you'd be hard pressed to find one in as nice condition up here for under $5k.

I always liked those GTPs. They were relatively conservatively styled by Pontiac standards.

I agree, on the GPs - my favorite generation; they still look good, they were dead reliable, drove well, and the interior (while not necessarily upscale) was very comfortable and roomy. Looked a some before I bought the DTS, but as noted, not many around here at all that are not totally rotten.
There's one that lives a few houses down from me, also bright red...It sat in the garage unused until about 2-3 years ago, I guess the teenage daughter in the house became of driving age so the old GP was dusted off and put back into service. It's a little rough around the edges, but seems to be doing well, and I enjoy hearing it's distinctive sound drive past the house everyday.

That custom Corvette from Kijiji also lives in my neighborhood - I remember seeing it around years ago, but I don't think it's been out much lately. Definitely Corvette Summer inspired, and sort of a cool time warp back to the few years where bastardizing a Corvette to that level was acceptable....Not for me, but it does look pretty well done.

Yeah, plus that blown 3.8 can make the car into quite a sleeper with relatively light mods. I always keep an eye out for an estate sale older Regal GS with that engine.
Lighten up Francis.....

1992 Grand Prix GTP. 3.1 5 speed

This is one Facebook market place locally. $500 but needs a clutch. Pretty nice looking otherwise.

Yeah, the Regal GS was more of a sleeper. Neat cars for their time.

One of my favorite cars. I had a 2003 Regal GS with 44,000 km on it, lives in Kansas now (did not own it long unfortunately). The Pontiacs were very good looking cars, the 4 doors to be looked better. See so many still running, they were great cars.

My Dad had a black '01 Grand Prix GT with the NA 3.8.  If I recall it was 200hp and 200ft-lbs of torque, which was quite spicy for a midsize sedan back then.  Sounded good, too.

Identical to this:

That Healey is sad...looks like it was a decent and complete car before some left it sitting somewhere very damp....

Opposite ends of the spectrum...but for an end of summer run at some fun, who'd you rather?
A 2000 911 Cabriolet for $34k:
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/2000-porsche-carrera-911-cabriolet/1521117188

Or a replica 1967 Healey? ($21,500)
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/portage-la-prairie/1967-austin-healy-replica/1520112437

Which is basically the "other Cobra" but Chevy powered.

What you guys think of the older pathfinder? They seam like good value, 6000towing, truck base.

Please view this ad:

2011 Nissan Pathfinder Silver,

Price: $ 15,600

Download the application from the Google Play Store.

A solid vehicle overall. Not sure if it was fixed by 2011, but they had an issue with the radiators cracking internally mixing coolant with transmission oil, this of course destroys the transmission and you dont know its happening until its too late. Google "strawberry milkshake of death"

Another thing to watch are timing chains (noise on startup). Be prepared for some astronomical fuel costs too, these things drink. I had a 2009 for awhile, loved the truck overall.

My Mom had a 2011 Pathfinder LE.  I liked it.  Looks like a truck, drives like a truck, and rides like a truck.  Which can be a good thing for some people.

Don't you hate it when a movie hottie from your teen era now plays a grandma on a sitcom?
