Huh...so now I guess I gotta poop my pants!!  Thought that'd be right up your back alley.
Dodge: Check!
Race car: Check!
So...Cop Car: Nope!  Hey dude...blue lives matter...what you got against cops!!!  :nono:

It just doesn't look right with its ass way up in the air.

I 1000% agree, I hate that Joe Dirt rake. That needs to be lowered at all corners and lose those stupid side pipes. Do love the hellkitty swap though.
But it's period correct.

That's how they did it back in the day for street racing.

Thats nice, they also liked platform shoes and KISS back in the day, we can realize they did it wrong.

What? You're not a fan?

Can't....I repeat, cannot stand them. To me, they were the Backstreet Boys/One direction before that was a thing.
Lighten up Francis.....

I test drove this one tonight. Asking $700. Needs a tune up but pretty zippy. Shifter a little on the vague side. Paint is toast. But has the rare combo of a V6 and 5spd manual (same as SHO).

Solid body except for front fender. I think the mud flag install caused the rust.

I don't know, but if that fender is any indication of what it looks like underneath, I'd be wary.  :o

You mean the tranny is the same as the SHO? Because the engine sure isn't the same...

It's the Vulcan V6 in that unicorn.
The SHO did have the same bellhousing pattern as the Vulcan so theoretically it could be swapped in.

I assumed he meant it had the SHO transmission, not the engine.

When this model debuted for 1992 I recall car magazines basically calling it a mini SHO.

Did it even have 200hp?

I had a Contour SE V6 with manual as a company car and it was decently peppy.

It had 140 hp I think, which was stellar for a compact car at that time.

With a friendly restoration, this could be the first BaT-worthy Tempaz! V6 Coupe with 3 pedals!!

Ok, unless somebody does a similar build with a flat six, this one will be hard to top (but easy to flip over  ;D ) :

For the Topaz V6 just the transmission is in common with the SHO. The engine is a de-tuned regular Taurus engine 3.0L V6. I would have bought it except the paint was really toast. I think it went beyond the clear coat pushing it into too much of an eye sore category for the wife. Shame, as it would have been a nice ice racer/auto-x/winter beater.

How's your buy and sell process going with Covid? Still test driving like normal?

When we did the dealer thing I was happy there was no salesman with us, but not sure I'd be good with that if was selling my own car

Still normal. This was out in Raymond. No cases out here right now. This wasn't plated so just took for a short rip down a rural road.

OK, that would be easier. I'm thinking of selling the Vibe and not sure if it's worth dealing with random tire kickers in the Covid hotspot of Edmonton for a $2000 car

You could insist on cash in hand before a test drive to filter out some of the Kijidiots. We are a bit insolated from Covid so far down here with only a tiny number of cases.

If the price was right that would've made a nice Beater Challenge car...

Anywho...I was inspired by Jacob & Yuri's $5000 Cheap Car Challenge (that they challenged themselves to) and figured I'd check out what the local Kijiji had to offer.  And there might even be some gooders in here!  So come along with me...or don't...but for $5k or less...these might be fun whether shitboxes or not.

First up, (and I stuck with ONLY manual trans cars) a 98 V6 F-Bird with T-tops!
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/98-firebird/1518589879
Right on the money at an asking price of $5g - looks pretty good.  Crank windows too so no gremlins there. Only 160k km.

First entry from Japan...a Celica GT-S (This one's got some Win! cred, right? I mean spoiler alert!!) Also bang on the top end asking price.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/portage-la-prairie/toyota-celica-gt-s-reduced/1518005396

If the shmuck would've spent 5 minutes Super Cleaning this...it'd be gone by now...why don't people think THIS is important?

Don't see these often...how about a 2005 Neon SRT?  I always thought this would be a hell of a run-about.  At $3200 it's well under budget too.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/portage-la-prairie/2005-srt4-acr/1517295885

Coming in just under at $4500, how about a 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo?  These cars were known to be faster around a track than even the vaunted WRX.  Just too bad it's missing the AWD part.
Not even bad for kms.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/cobalt-ss-turbo-charger/1520289711
More big spoiler...you know it HAS to be fast then, right?

This one's just over budget but surely he could be talked down.  And, it has $23,000 in mods!!! WTF!!
2008 Civic
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2008-honda-civic-ex-l/1520207641
I think it needs one size up on the tires...won't be good in the snow. Shi# hit a pothole and you'd probably get hung up.

Our first V8 entry.  And it's immaculate.  So says the seller.
2001 Mustang GT @ $5000
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2001-mustang-gt-v-8/1506182528
Is it the wheels?  That is one ugly Mustang...yeah, it's the wheels...Yuck... :hurl: Def have to replace those with a nice set of 5 spokes.

There were/are plenty of others too, but I figured I'd stick with the more "performance" oriented types.

Now...if only I had $5000 lyin' around...I probably wouldn't spend it on any of these.  :P  ;D
