These cars still look great, imho.  Their performance couldn't back up the looks, unfortunately.  That is a gorgeous shade of red.

Heh, thats funny, saw an Avenger last week. It was a weirdly attractive car to me

My dad had that Avenger, identical looking.  A 1995 V6 automatic.  Was such a dog, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why he bought that over a Camaro or Mustang.  My mom had a Plymouth Breeze at the time and I think it was seriously more interesting to drive that over the Avenger.

Oh yeah....it was hot garbage from a drivers standpoint, but I liked the looks of it. The 2.5 was a hot bundle of meh, needed much more balls to match its looks.
Lighten up Francis.....

I learned how to drive on a Plymouth Breeze.  It was the car my driving instructor (Goilie was his name, pronounced Joy-Lee) owned.  It was a horrible experience, mostly because 17 yr old me was significantly taller than he was, and he wouldn't let me move the seat back, only adjust the recline on it.  Also the lack of power.  I took Young Drivers in Hamilton, and would routinely drive up/down the escarpment as part of my in-car lessons.  That thing had ZERO zip going up the escarpment.  Goilie would constantly tell me to give it more power when merging going up the escarpment, and I would tell him right back, my foot is to the floor.

Fiesta STs are still crazy expensive!!  These are 2 of the better deals, with one being the cheapest on Kijiji.  Not sure the white one is worth the extra $3500
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/saskatoon/2015-fiesta-st/1502186546

Cheapest
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-autos-camions/ville-de-montreal/ford-fiesta-st-2015/1500342594

And then it got me thinking...Caddy makes some pretty impressive cars in the last decade, right?  So...would love a CTS-V (probably went here because I saw a beautiful red V in town the other day...the 2nd gen car...still gorgeous) but what about a V-Sport?  V's are still bloody expensive, and would this not already be amazing? 420 hp sure can't be slow. Be nice if it wasn't winter road grime gray though...
This is the cheapest one I could find on Kijiji
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/windsor-area-on/2014-cadillac-cts-vsport-rwd/1494219072

Next least expensive one was $30g...and the next - all 2014's - was $40g (60,000 fewer k's for 16,000 more dollars )...talk about a price spread!!

I’d take a Sebring coupe manual. It has an Eclipse interior.

FJ's have actually legit stopped depreciating, and in most cases have actually appreciated.  They are few and far between, and in high demand by enthusiasts, which drives the price up.  It would actually be a good model for Toyota to update and start producing again.  They stopped making it because they figured there wasn't much of a market for it, but given that a lot of manufacturers are starting to release specialized vehicles like this (the Colorado ZR2, Ford Bronco, Wrangler, even the 4Runner TRD PRO), there is obviously a growing demand for adventure vehicles like this.

1973 TR6 $12,500
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1973-triumph-tr6-for-sale/1503435366
And it's BRG...

Which of course got me looking at convertibles...and what else can you get for similar asking money?

Hmmm...maybe a 65,000 mile 92 5.0 GT?
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/portage-la-prairie/1992-mustang-gt-5-0/1501850480

Uhm...nope!  :hurl:

Maybe an '88 Vette?
https://www.kijijiautos.ca/vip/14017119/?utm_campaign=xpromo_srplisting&utm_content=web_ResultsBrowse&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=kijiji

Too bad it's an auto...or maybe that's fine in a rag top toy.

Or maybe a final year New Edge Mustang - for less than the guy with the '92.  This being the arguably better looking of the two, too.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2004-mustang-gt-convertible/1503690171

Or perhaps for thousands less a rebuilt 1988 IROC?
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/portage-la-prairie/1988-camaro-iroc-z/1500580723

And then last, and perhaps not least, a '97 SVT Cobra for $12,900 - 305 hp, a manual transmission...and a new battery!!
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1997-svt-cobra/1495710428

I think I'd like either of the bookends...The TR6 is just cool...and would fit in the garage alongside the unused at this time Fusion...the SVT, well, 305 hp aint exactly crap...plus it'll probably actually get you where you're going and back home again.

That TR6 looks pretty well sorted, and a fair price. It does however hit two of my old car strikes. (1) body color painted wheels (unless factory), it just looks ridiculous, not sure why people do that, and (2) rocker guard engine bay....I'd rather see greasy, worn, flaky, rusty original paint in the engine bay than thick black rocker guard.
