Nice!  I've mused to my wife about selling the Z3M to try something else and she still mentions the SLK.  Gotta be the SLK55 AMG though.   :skid:

I keep an eye out ever since I test drove that one for you  :stick:  :rofl2:

Yeah, I've even considered getting rid of both the Z3M and GS-350 and replace them with one a single car.  Would have to be something interesting though, and just can't think of what would do.  Now that we have the Frontier the Lexus has been relegated to highway use only.  The Frontier is actually great fun to drive around town, and even my wife prefers it over the Lexus for that.   :-\

That's not a bad idea! I've been toying with selling the 951 for a couple of years now, but have been too lazy to actually get it sorted enough for sale... instead I've been just enjoying it as much as I can. It's been sitting quite a bit this spring, only getting out once a week as I have no where to go. I'll probably take it for a little boot tonight to pick up some dinner for us, hopefully golf opens up here soon & I'll use it to get to the course  ;)

A 951 is probably the car you shouldn't ever sell until you need the money or can't drive anymore.

Why is that? Just curious to hear your thoughts.

If I were to sell it I'd put that cash towards another toy car, most likely a 997.

Some time in 2011.

I think it will appreciate in value nicely in the next few years, can't drive mutual funds.
Plus, it's one of the best driving cars Porsche ever made.

Another thing, would you want to drive a much more valuable car the same way at the track?

Thanks for the reply, appreciate your thoughts. And I agree, it does drive great!! Can't argue that.

The value has gone up a bit since I bought it, I paid $9,500 US in 2014 when I got it (and our dollar was ~$0.93), I'd think I could get ~$15k US now, maybe more on BAT. Mileage is at 128k miles now.

I think I'd flog a 997 just as hard on the track, lol!! Reality is that I don't seem to have as much time for the track the past couple summers because of other things going on, so the 2 - 3 track days wouldn't be too bad. Hell, if I were to get a Carrera 4 I'd consider a separate set of 18" winter wheels & enjoy it all year long. With our winters here I could probably get up to the ski hill 75% of the time in it. Nothing sexier than a full Thule box on a 911, I'd look like I was in the Alps, ha, ha, ha!!

Went spring skiing at Tremblant once with mine, skis on the roof racks were tested to 100mph.

Ok then.   A friend once upgraded to a Lotus Elise and though he loved it on the track, he eventually went back to cheaper cars to flog about.   If you're too concerned about value then you might not enjoy track time as much if that's in the back of your mind, that's what he found he was doing.

A Bubba car, and it's local...so he could even buy it without having to go to AZ.  ;D
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/36-year-old-classic-for-under-5000/1499677198
1984 Cutlass for $4900 - it's even brown!

Me, I'd prefer something a little more substantial... O0
1981 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight (98) REGENCY COUPE
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1981-oldsmoblie-ninety-eight-98-regency-coupe-2dr/1464134850

You could sleep in this baby...

Pillowy softness everywhere...

That thing has been for sale for a couple of years now...guess it's not as collectible or desirable as his $11,000 asking price suggests.  :'(  I'd consider it at about $2500 though. For that it'd be a fun old big car to flog the shiite out of.

Heading up in value again by half...these any good?
1990 Porsche 944
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1990-porsche-944/1497271234

Definitely a little rougher on the inside than either the grandma or grandpa cars.  Then again no one drives those with any spirit so... ???

Or for the same (asking) money...would you rather have this:
1991 5.0 Mustang GT 5 Speed
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1991-fox-body-5-0-mustang-gt-5-speed/1499285743
In BRG(ish), too.

Interior looks pretty clean.

This one's for Fob...I think he'd like it.
1952 GMC Crew Cab project
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1952-gmc-crew-cab-project/1499840508

What a project...needs Chip Foose to take over - good 2 episode TV production.  Or maybe Bitchin' Rides guys...going to be a money sink for sure.  I bet it never gets finished and ends up rotting in some guys back 40 'til the end of time.

I am so in!
1955 Chevy diesel COE
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1955-chevy-diesel-coe/1499147215

$32,000... :o :o :o ...I am so out...

I'm in again!
1968 GMC stepside short box 454
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1968-gmc-stepside-short-box/1495988149

$25,000...I'm out again.

Another case of someone asking too much for the local market.  That thing has been for sale for gotta be at least 3 yrs now.

Last one...1953 Henry J Corsair. It shocked me when I found out my dad had never heard of a Henry J...but dad...you would've been 8!  You never heard of Henry J?   :o ::) :P
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/winnipeg/1953-henry-j-reduced-to-8200-obo/1498834327

Is a strange looking car.

And so therefore also cheap enough to get into the classic car scene without too many $'s.

That FWD Cutlass would never be a Bubba car.  I prefer the 98.

The Henry J is the coolest of the bunch.  They look great as race cars.
This is Jim LaBorde, Hibbing MN, '51 Henry J, racing at Brainerd, MN.

I like that Henry J as well. Rare to see one that has not been hot rodded. They apparently fit quite well on a S10 frame.

My co-worker is still looking for just the right 5.0 FOX...and I think he may have found it!  Now, will he buy it...meh, I dunno.  But you be the judge...I too fell in lust with it.  Would like to see it in person, but it looks great in the pics. All the right upgrades and then some, perfect stance...only wish it was an '89 so it had a tilt wheel.

So of course...more Mustang!!
This one...
2000 Ford Mustang GT Custom, $17,000 - last year: $25,000.  I guess he didn't get any bites, despite what it's got and what's been done to it.  Super charged and super low k's...slap a different set of wheels on this thing, and I dunno...I kinda like it.  But...I'd look like a dick since I'm not a kid anymore...I need a Corvette.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2000-ford-mustang-gt-custom-mint/1499928855

Ahh who cares...I'd drive it anyway.

A gorgeous example of the Chrysler Airflow.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1935-chrysler-c2-airflow-imperial-eight/

In February this year the Revs Institute had a 1934 Coupe version of this car - one of 212 made. They were 6" longer than the sedan and apparently only a few remain.
