That Stingray would make a great Sunday Cruise car. You don't necessarily need it to be a good handler, or even fast. Just take a nice, leisurely drive on a Sunday for some Ice Cream, or to a car show, or whatever. It probably makes a nice noise, though.
I've driven one that looked just like to one pictured. It had a 454 with side pipes and 4-sp manual. It was a short test drive a loong time ago not long after i got my license so don't remember all the details but it wasn't good at all. It was like driving a low slung truck with bad suspension and horrible sight lines. It was no sports car and not great for a leisurely drive in the country. Not unless you consider teeth gnashing a leisure activity!

I grew up in the era when you could pick those things up relatively cheap (late 70s - mid 80s) and there was a reason they were cheap. I love the looks of 60s and 70s era muscle cars but i wouldn't own one now unless i had the money to resto-mod one.
