Here's a good (albeit unsafe) first car for your kids!
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/portage-la-prairie/1978-ford-fairmont/1491182636?undefined

Says it has 40,000 original kms.

Too bad it's probably over budget for Dent's beater challenge.

Kind of time machine ... but  unlikely a desirable one ...

One for the well-heeled overlander...

Thats nuts, if they ripped out all the drivetrain and replaced it with something reliable and heavily modded the suspension, maybe...as it sits, you gotta be nuts
Lighten up Francis.....

So last week i checked the local Nissan dealer site and saw that the 2020 370Z coupe they had in the showroom while i was there last month was still in stock and listed for $30K.  I sat in it while i was there and it was listed for a little over $32K at that time.  I checked again this morning and it's no longer listed, which is a bit odd considering the current fiscal environment.  Not that i had any intentions of buying it, but thought it was a pretty damn good buy at $30K for a brand new car with ~340hp in stock form and an actual manual tranny.  Nice analog car and i still think they look good.  The big deterrent for me was that it was the same gun metal grey as my truck.

Yeah, i'm bored.... ::) :P

The Auto-Union has a 2-stroke engine - the same one that powered the SAAB 92 and its descendants, as well as the Wartburg 353 until 1989.

The NSU appeals more but the AutoUnion is probably easier to keep (get) on the road parts wise.

1974 Dodge Dart Hang 10 edition.  One of 47 with the optional 360 V8.  Interior has model-specific carpet and trim.  Also had fold-down rear seat.  Exterior has special striping.
Great example of a rare model.   Current eBay bid: $18,100 USD.  I'll be watching this one.

I do agree that thing is gorgeous, although I am particularly drawn to the 90s boxy Ghibli II, especially the Cup version.

The new one? Just a Chrysler that went to the gym. Although, I would not say no to a dirt cheap black Q4, depreciation gives one beer goggles I guess...

You guys know much about this Swedish engine? They say I-6 3.0l turbo with 300hp.  Some forum say its the good reliable engine.

Please view this ad:

2012 Volvo XC70,

Price: $ 10,000

Download the application from the Google Play Store.

I believe the FWD versions had the 3.2 (engine to avoid),  AWD were the 3.0 T6
The 3.0 T6 is a nice engine (i had one in my old S60) but thirsty.

Yup, that T6 is a strong, strong engine & fairly reliable as well... thirsty as you've said. The turning circle is huge on those things with that I6 mounted sideways in the engine bay, and the rear seat space is kinda tight considering how long the car is overall... but that gives you huge trunk space.

Ive always liked the xc70. The interior is so nice, for 10k whats not to like.  I also read that their is a tune you can do that bump it up to 325hp and change the transmission shifting.  Lol tuned up brown wagon... Almost a unicorn. I-6 are usually know for durability...

Yup, a tune straight from Volvo - Polestar tune https://engineered.polestar.com/en-ca/upgrades/model-selector/#?vehicle_model=XC70&market=ca&modelYearId=63
