This E63 wagon is a steal. Anyone want to buy my JCW?  ;D

I really like that gen of the E wagon plus it had the normally aspirated V8 in it. The $100K you save vs new can go towards any issues.

Nah, by then it had the 5.5 liter twin turbo V8. 577 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque!

Oh crap, I thought that didn't happen until the 2017's. Oh well, nothing wrong with 590 lb-ft of torque from just off idle to scrabble your eggs before you get home from the store.

No Alberta plates in the images.   ::)  Probably not actual vehicle.

Background looks like the Tuner Valley area.
Photographic proof in this image:

Note how steeply he's parked and the trees are basically pointing straight up.  Damn straight that's an AB car!  Must have magic tires to get up that grade!! I bet it takes a Herculean effort.

We will find out!

The Jag X-type had a spotty reliability history.

If you are seriously considering this car, I would research it diligently on British car/Jag North American forums and learn of all the pitfalls up front. Secondly, I would check local indy Jag repair garages for their opinion of X-types in general.

lastly, I would start going to church, because you will need all the help you can get.  :rofl2:

I am on the fence still on this car. I like the look as does Mrs ianmcc but she also loves the W211 we currently drive.
I keep looking at wagons on Kijiji-love the long roofs!

WTF, here's a 2020 Tundra Platinum listed at a Burnaby dealer for $81k!!!!

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/Toyota/Tundra/Burnaby/BC/5_46605091_BS2004922114833?loc=V5C6G9&utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=DSP&utm_content=ad1&utm_campaign=CA-DSP-DM-EN-REMARKETING_DPV_VISITS-NOV19

If you build one up on the Toyota website, it's $60k.  Wtf?  I see that they added a lift and some tires, bit still.  A $20k markup?  You would have to be stupid to pay that for a Tundra.

Apart from the plastic steering wheel this is pretty cool. More modern Suzuki mechanical bits with a classic Jeep body.

Holy Helsinki!!  I'm not normally a fan of the 4 doors...but fack, I want that!  V6, manual, and just gorgeous!  Would almost be a shame to drive it though, it's as pretty underneath (what little they showed anyway).  Almost.  Facking awesome!!

If only I had a crystal ball in 1986 that told me what these cars would be worth today.  Current bid is $14,000 with three days to go.

Yes, but lets face it. To store a vehicle in a humidity controlled environment would have cost on average, say . . , $50 per month, 12 months per year, 35 years, so $21,000 for a $14,000 car. So unless you can store a car humidity protected for free, forget it. But a southern USA car, might work.

What did they cost to buy in 1986?  No way less than $14K.  The owner might recoup his cost.  Maybe.

Ron might have some regrets about selling his Supra based on the numbers some of them are pulling lately, yikes.  One of my car-enthusiast buds lives in Vangrooy and a friend of his dropped just over $100K for a 97 Supra Turbo, and was happy as hell at that price.

If they bought the car for $4,000 up front, then the storage cost plus purchase price would be $25,000. $14,000 is still a huge loss.

Dont underestimate the Radwood effect that seems to be sweeping the used car market. Values for 80s and 90s cars are on the rise, in some cases big time.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Jacques Duval is a legendary Quebec-based auto scribe. He was also quite a racer in his time, Porsches being his track weapons of choice (he even owned a new 904).

His old 914-6 race car just went for $995,000 at Gooding&Co. One of 16 factory race versions built in 1970, Duval placed it first at the '71 Daytona 24 hrs in its category.

Duval was a good writer and a good driver, but not a good investor as he let go of these cars way too early. He's in his 70's now and has become a full-tilt Tesla slappie, of all things.

Looks like a Euro-market model since it lacks the side-indicators and has amber indicators in the taillights.
