Yea, but the Fairlady isn't known as a reliability nightmare

Another somewhat bizarre imported find: a 1989 Audi 200 Turbo Quattro manual with 55k on it. I've seen this one listed before a year or two ago.

Quote
I didn't drove it on the road since 1990. Car was storage in my showroom for over 15 years. I brought it over from Germany 7 years ago and paid just for that over $2000. The price for the car was new $45,000. I invested :
*Recaro leather sport seats interior - $6,000
*Paint job at Mercedes $4,000
*Original Audi V8 body parts $3,500
*Koni suspensions $1,800
*Customized 10"x17" ALU rims and tires $2,500
*Bose sound system with CD changer $1,000 ...and 100th of hours body work !!
No plastic used !!! All body work is done in metal. Sealing needs some work, the original fabric came off (age) and some other small stuff, because it's parked though a long time. It starts and drives perfectly on the lot. This car is very exclusive, there is not a second one like that ! Only reason I trade or sell is, I have this car now over 29 years and looking for something new and exciting. I know I never get back the money I put in or close to, but I hate seeing it standing around. If I get a interesting trade offer or a good cash price I'm willing give it up. Asking cash price $12,000 or best offer / trade value Please let me know what you have to trade or how much you would be willing to spend for a car like that. Thanks

I need another car like I need a hole in the head but this one looks rather tempting. It sure doesn't look that rusty but seller has no reason to lie. And I hate fixing rust. Still does look nice ...

Hold out until the spring and you can line up to buy an incredibly cherry 1994 Mazda Miata with only 150K on it and in near-new condition.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to go back to motorcycles.

:o really? How long have you had that Miata? That should go for good money in tax return season!

Will be eight years in May.  The missus won't go on trips in it anymore, and I'd prefer a motorcycle if it's always just me.  I've been without a bike long enough.  Had 92K on it when I bought it, just rolled over 150K this summer, so added 7250km/year average.  Not bad.

Might go back to a 'Busa if I can afford the insurance, or maybe a sport tourer of some sort.

That's sexy! Even the exhaust is hot! Wonder how hard it would be to swap a newer Challenger/300 dash over.  That's the worst part of that car.  Price might be a little crack pipe though.

This could get expensive.  Someone took a few years to collect autographs from 57 living NHRA World Champions on four helmets.  Winning bid gets donated to four charities.
