We had a Horizon (after a Chevette) as the car dad got for us to drive.  POS.  But, when the GLH came out...hot damn, want!  And the GLH-S?  More hot damns.  I kinda wonder if that's the reason why as much as I love a V8...I have a soft spot for little hatches too.  Always wanted one of these...or a 323 GTX...but a Mustang was cheaper and I got 4 more cylinders in the deal.  Never did fulfill that hot-hatch dream though.  Fiesta ST's are still too much money, VW's are FGC.  :P  I need a turbo on the Sonic.  ;D

Kinda neat that two classic hot versions of ‘70s econoboxes are on BaT together.

I'd take the Omlette or that GTI. More fond of them then a lot of the cars of today. I guess I 'm living in the past. ;D

I get laughs from checking out ads that read: "Car is mint except the engine is blown, the AC is broken and the front bumper is smashed."

Reminds me of the upside down thread where people told our resident sales-persons about their amazing trade that would turn out to have 2x the mileage and smelled like a raccoon carcass had been rotting in it for six months...

Like this guy who had this older fox body Mustang said in his ad "no real rust" what does that mean? It has artificial rust???

Those old Omnirizons had about the loosest manual transmissions I'd ever driven. Even the slackfest that was in the Escorts of those days came out more precise. The rest of the car wasn't as bad, at least once the VW engine was ditched, but still paled next to most of the Japanese brands of the time.

I'm not sure about the GLH and GLH-S. Neat packages, and quick for the time. Rare to see one these days for sure.

Abarth 500s are cheap. Not sure if I would be caught dead in one though.

If they were reliable - I would.  Only ever seen one in the wild, and damn does it sound fantastic or what!  I'd be revving the shyt out of it everywhere I went too.  If they don't make good cars, Italians at least make great sounding cars.

Calling Bubba!

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-dodge-coronet-2/

Sweet!  It appears that a '73 grille replaced the original.  All it needs is a Super Six transplant and it's good to go.

Those bumper guards look like tusks.

Looks great!

In pictures the LC doesn't do a whole lot for me and I've only caught a brief glimpse of one IRL and I thought it looked a lot better. I'd like to get a good look at one in person.

That is a lovely colour. Hopefully it makes it to other models as well.
