They put 6-speeds on the 4wd models only.

Super cool car.  Longitudinal engine, and a real transfer case (no low range though) with the front and rear axles locked together when engaged, like a truck.  This is 4wd that can only be used in slippery conditions, unlike modern AWD systems.

I'd love to have another Z. I rallied a 1972 240Z and a 1975 280Z. The 240 died a quick death in 1979 (down an embankment into a tree). The 280 died a lingering death of old age, and not enough money in 84 or 85. Yup! I got married and that ended the rallying. Parted out the good bits, and dumped the shell at a wrecking yard.

I was following this high-km rusted floored 911 in Ottawa until the price went beyond dream beater level. Odometer stopped at 358,000 km, actual km unknown.

It could be from Ontario. The dealer sticker on the rear hatch says Bel Air. I think that dealer  is in Ottawa  ?

Yeah was hoping for this one to stall a bit due to: high km, inop odometer, holes in floors, missing engine rebuild documentation and Ottawa location. Maybe if this seller lists a similar-spec'd Beetle my budget will fit  ;D
