One of my favourite teachers had a purple 340 dart like this guy:

https://bangshift.com/bangshiftapex/bangshiftapex-online-find/plum-crazy-1970-dodge-dart-340-swinger-one-bad-ass-machine/

That thing really worked well.

Dad's side of the family tended to get Mopar in those days. One uncle had an orange 340 Duster Demon. The others typically had a 318 in whatever they bought. As a rule, they didn't seem to get on with wet weather. Other than that they seemed okay. Like everything from that era, rust killed them pretty quick in the East.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

150hp and 255ft-lbs of torque from that 318. I was curious so looked it up.

We've come a long way.

Do any Honda motors have that much torque?

The 2.0L Accord has 273ft-lbs. So not much more.  ;D

There's no link, just a pic of the ad.

Bah!  Your pic of the ad don't work (for me).  It's a small box with a broker printer or something inside.  Ripped paper maybe?

I found this...and I go between "I Found My Thrills..." and "O Holy Night" for its angelic qualities...but fackmedoodledingdong!  :o It's the right colour...and yeah, it's probably got a shi##y@ss interior, rides like it's disconnected from reality, and would be as efficient as using a Kenworth to pull a tent trailer...but I've loved these cars since I was a kid, and it's blue... :flowers:  :fall:

The Mercury's taillights just don't look right either.  Square peg, round hole.

The '61 Ford rear end looks much better.

My co-worker is busily trying to find a 5.0 Fox body 'stang.  Had one when he was younger, all modded and stuff...now has the itch to get another one.  I believe I posted a few last time.  He's still looking.  He sent me this one yesterday.  Nice place to start, Cobra IRS in the rear, upgraded K member...just needs an engine and trans.  And about $3000 off the asking would be good too.

Surely Bubba would want this, right?  Cheaper than a trip to AZ.

And then I saw (one of) my dream truck!  I wonder if...forgiveness over permission, right?

Maybe slap a 2.7TT from an F150 in it...good on fuel (haha) and quiet and rocket ship fast.

Oooohhhh, that Foxbody would be a perfect platform for an LS3 swap. Its a good deal for a fully sorted rolling chassis thats in good shape with all the right goodies.
Lighten up Francis.....

^ Those were neat little cars. Rust weevils got to them pretty quickly in the east though.

Been looking at Stealths wondering just how bad they really are. Could they be that bad?
