That Europa is a great find, if it were local to me I'd pay that price in a heartbeat - though I'd try for $5K to get started. The seats are hideously bad, but otherwise it looks fairly original and intact.

Europa are jut awesome and I miss mine dearly.

That is an S2, which is easier to work with, and I see the power window switch on the dash so it doesn't have the earlier fixed windows. It does not have the bug-eye'd turn signals on the front nose, which my 69 did, so this one is likely a fairly early S2.

Watch for rot where the front control arms mount to the frame. Also check the doors for sag, the hinges are a ridiculous setup that includes 'sandpaper' washers, they're commonly all kinds of bad and the repair/rebuild kits are pricey. That said, this really looks like a very solid start to a relatively easy project.
Yes, this one certainly looks better than that S2 I found for you behind the Vet's a couple of years back!
Railton

That poor car is now sitting under a tractor trailer trailer near QEW and 427 interchange.

The red one I had is now living the good life in Silicon Valley though :)

And yes, tall people shouldn't have any issues with these, the legroom is massive and you're basically lying down in the car. It's probably more of an issue for horizontally challenges people to enter/exit.

$5500 for a V6? Wow. I swear that would have been a $1200 car not too long ago. Prices seem to have gone up on everything lately.

How many of us have shifted a manual with their left hand?  I haven't and I'm wondering if there's a learning curve.

About 10 minutes.

Taking certain left hand turns seemed weirder for my brain than shifting.

Agree on both points, learning to shift with the left hand comes way more natural than you think.

I like this generation of Trans Am styling-wise, and like black too. IMO $12,000 is high, especially considering it's at 180,000 km.

yep took me about 10 mins to get used to driving RHD stick, and about a week to get used to driving on the wrong side of the road in 'Straya

In fact, for fast shifting, I found RHD better as you were bringing the stick towards you as you rowed through the gears, as opposed to away from you. Felt faster.

Cool - these were also assembled in Belgium and sold by Renault as they didn't have a large car to compete with the DS...

Looks in really nice shape. Would be a nice family cruiser on the cheap.

That's the exact car my family had in the mid-60s.  Three-on-the-tree and no radio.  Slow as molasses.  Dad traded it in on a 1967 Dodge Coronet with 80% more horsepower.

Hella clean. I'll be watching that out of interest. I actually owned a comparably clean 82 Berlinetta with 28,000kms (17K miles) back before I even had a driver's license. Bought it off a widowed neighbor of my grandmother's, mine was bright right, with navy blue interior, no-ttops, 2.8L V6 automatic....so not as desirable as this one. Sold it to a local 'car guy' who put 200,000kms on it over about 3 years before junking it :( Sort of a sad end I guess, but on the flip side, the car finally got put to use and traveled all over Canada and the US.
I think this BAT example is the first time I've seen a stick in a Berlinetta...Generally buyers who got the 'luxury' type trim opted for an automatic and it was the base model (sport coupe) or Z28 buyers who were more likely to get the stick.

I love the gold trim and rims of the Berlinetta. That is a real nice example.

A charming little car that wouldn't need much. Since I lost my tow vehicle is likely isn't for me at this time.

As neat as they are, those old really really slow Camaros don’t hold much appeal to me. The 305 in that car is a junk engine that makes no power and can’t be modified. It’s an iron lump of scrap metal that can barely wheeze out enough power to move the car. I can live with tepid performance in a Corolla, but something that looks like it should be able to at least pass something on a two lane?  Nah.

But being a SBC there are a lot of affordable options to swap in something that makes decent power. A Chevy Performance 383 with an aftermarket fuel injection kit comes to mind.
