Price is a bits nuts but something bought four of them!

Ahem. Payload challenged would be the correct term  :P

It looks a bit like a modernized, truck version of the 2CV.

The Midget II has another oddity - if you picked the manual transmission there is no longer room for a passenger seat!

That's not an oddity - that's a feature!

How many of us have shifted a manual with their left hand?  I haven't and I'm wondering if there's a learning curve.

About 25 years ago, we went to England, the night before we picked up our rental I woke up worrying about this.  I had zero trouble with it.  So I wouldn’t sweat it.

About 10 minutes.

Taking certain left hand turns seemed weirder for my brain than shifting.

Almost 40 years ago at my first job in town, I had to drive an enclosed 3 wheeler between buildings on site. Dont remember gas engine specs, I believe it was a 2 opposite cylinders and the shifter sit on my left side. So, most of the day I was shifting using my left hand except when I commuted morning and evening, my own car was manual with the shifter where it belongs to be, on my right. It happened few times seeking with the wrong hand a shifter located on the opposite side. Nothing serious to worry about except laughing of yourself, it is not like missing a downshift while driving a 22,000 kg truck going down a hill

Not exact same but close enough http://cushman-haulster-vanster.blogspot.com

Already at my 2nd job, I get a serious upgrade, my working truck inside the huge plant was now an electric Cushman, like that one

I had a rhd Toyota Hilux. Took about 30 seconds. The wipers and indicators got me more messed up as they were reversed.

Here's an interesting Youtube channel I happened upon.  Heidi and Franny's Garage.
I love their garage contents.

Even had a video about installing a 4-post lift like Vantage did

The price still seems a little high on this but I really want it.

It doesn't run
Waterpump is needing replaced which might require pulling the motor (its up against the firewall)
I might not physically fit in (6ft tall)
The seats are non-stock at least in coverings (and very 70s aftermarket van vibe)
Seems to be missing a few bits like the tray behind the engine, mirrors, etc.

Its a fricking Lotus and this might be my last chance to own one.
I haven't bought any car for a few months now.
Windshield is hard to source and expensive but is there and in good shape.
Its the Renault engine which is fine with me as running costs are way lower than the Lotus/Ford one.
Appears to be a S2 not the harder to repair S1.

That Europa is a great find, if it were local to me I'd pay that price in a heartbeat - though I'd try for $5K to get started. The seats are hideously bad, but otherwise it looks fairly original and intact.

Europa are jut awesome and I miss mine dearly.

That is an S2, which is easier to work with, and I see the power window switch on the dash so it doesn't have the earlier fixed windows. It does not have the bug-eye'd turn signals on the front nose, which my 69 did, so this one is likely a fairly early S2.

Watch for rot where the front control arms mount to the frame. Also check the doors for sag, the hinges are a ridiculous setup that includes 'sandpaper' washers, they're commonly all kinds of bad and the repair/rebuild kits are pricey. That said, this really looks like a very solid start to a relatively easy project.

Yes, this one certainly looks better than that S2 I found for you behind the Vet's a couple of years back!

He previously had it listed for $9.5K which was bonkers. I'd agree with Firm $5k would be an ideal price but the seller might not be there yet given the price drop.

Chassis rot is a worry on these. Not terminal but certainly expensive to put right.
