I know it's a cab...but this is well below market value IMO

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/edmonton/1990-porsche-911-carrera-2-manual/1413220668?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
The cab's seem to be running $8k - $15k less than the fixed roof models. That seems like the going price.

I know...but I still think it's underpriced considering what looks to be very good condition.  I can't remember the last time I saw one sub $50k....
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I agree...This one sold for $35K USD, which converts to almost exactly what kijiji guy is asking. Nearly identical cars too.

It converts to almost $6k more.

Get the current conversion of US to CAD. Once that's done, add the 6 percent duty on top for German car.

EDIT

Called Royal Bank to get their exchange rate.

Canadian 911 $50,285 after pst/gst

US 911 $56,148 after conversion, duty and pst/gst

Forget duty and tax - that has no bearing on the value of any given car. It might be a decision factor for a given buyer in a given location, but those are not typically variables that you'd factor into the valuation of a car.....For example, an appraiser doesn't add your Province/State tax rates to the value he would assign to anything (car or otherwise).

The $34,544 USD eBay selling price converts to $45,872.70 CAD at the current market exchange rate.

Believe me; I thought the kijiji car was a good looking buy when you posted it, which is why I looked for comparables....If it was undervalued I would've grabbed it and eBay'd it.

Nonsense.

If you're comparing a US car vs Canadian car considering car duty , exchange, shipping are all factors in determining whether it's a deal NOW vs. what's available in Canada. If US exchange was currently 20 percent, the Canadian car wouldn't be a deal. But considering the exchange rate, the all in cost difference is considerable.

It also makes it apples vs. apples...landed cost in Canada.

Really, only one sentence matters when buying a car: "How much is this going to cost to put in my garage? "

They've been tempting me for years. Hard to find rust free, un-tinkered with examples.

There's a bunch of RHD models around here, and they're typically all pimped out.  Thankfully, if you're going to wreck one, it should be a RHD model.

Seems most the SC's here are pimped, sadly the LS400's too. Stanced with gold rims, rolled fendersl and an inch off the ground. Cressida's when rarely available are also targets of these "mod's".

That's the first version of the 2nd gen Clio.  Overall, the facelifted ones, such as the one I had, were considered more reliable.
