^^  Agree that series of Accord was the high water mark, although they rusted out quickly.  Really like the colour of that example as well!   Too bad nobody's buying larger sedans nowadays.  I've seen very few new Accords around these parts.  Lots of Civics though.
I was going to say, rust was its Achilles heal.

Indeed, yesterday at the Montreal auto show ALL the midsize sedans were abandoned and lonely. No crowds, no gawkers.

That generation Accord was a sweetheart. Seems the cars that were panned when new for having too conservative of styling look great in the future. They had one of the nicest feeling 5 speed I've ever sampled. I'd love to find one as mint as that!

You could even get it as a wagon!

Sold for $34,100 USD.

Perusing the Barret Jackson site this evening, checking what's coming at the Scottsdale auction.

Spotted this beauty.  I've only seen one in the flesh and it was up to it's rockers in mud.

Sometimes a tiny detail can add so much character; 1960 Renault 4CV on BaT.  The air intakes in the rear fenders are art deco fantastic.

Who needs a SUV?

When i owned my general contractor business many years ago I had a Caprice Classic station wagon as one of the work vehicles.  That thing would haul full sheet of plywood in the back no problem.  It got me and 16 of my friends to a nightclub once as well.   ;D

Did your Caprice have the tailgate that would slide down into the body?

Who needs a SUV?

At 225.7 inches long I'm not sure I could get that in my garage.  That is 60 inches longer than my GTI!

Aircraft carrier on wheels.
And so much more dynamically superior to today's SUV/CUV's.

Yes, I think they all did at that time.  Great for sticking long loads out the back.  Mine had the woody trim package as well.   :D
