Maybe. Otherwise you'll need one.

I'm flip flopping back and forth between a 4 season car and a 3 season car + beater(ish) car.

lol...yep I agree. Years ago while in Seattle I spotted a Continental kit on a 2006+ S Class Benz, it looked utterly ridiculous on that car. Had lots of pics of it too but the phone got destroyed sadly.

Here it is...pics posted sometime this afternoon. Even has the radar cruise.  Pretty sure it's a 2016 though. (Autos.ca own 2016-2018 Golf R tests show different wheels each year.)

I have no doubt that's what he traded it for...unfortunately the kid (to me - might be 40?) who runs the place knows what a performance car is...but I should ask anyway, no?  ;D At least for a test drive.

And yes, rather have a 5.0 or 1LE - I already have an AWD car. And it's not German so it'll last for-almost-ever.  :run:

Those wheels were standard for 2017, the other ones you're talking about were an option.
