Been watching this auction... could be a great deal, or a ticking time bomb... someone's gonna roll the dice, will be interesting to see if it makes the reserve https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2008-porsche-911-turbo-3/

That's a nice spec.

I love the unique combinations that run in NHRA Stock Eliminator, and this is one of them.

1992 Jeep Comanche pickup with 4/0 engine runs P Q or R Stock automatic (you can move up or down a class by adjusting weight).  Built 904 trans have lighter internals than 727s, but are as tough as nails.  Kudos to whoever built the engine because running -1.17 seconds under your index is excellent and the P Q R classes are packed with 283 Chevs, so you need all the hp you can find.  There's only one pic in the ad, but I found some online.  Jeep's run as quick as 12.87 seconds in the quarter-mile.

Someday Bubba I'll stop at my neighbours (just around the block, everyone's your neighbour here) - he's got an altered wheel base 60's Falcon that was raced back in the day at Gimli (and still raced) and some other old drag racer, thought he said 30's Ford...guess I'll have to add that street to my (non-existent) walking schedule.

For all you JDM fans.

Because van...almost as nice as that Ford in the video...even has shag carpet on the inside windows!! WTH!  Shag in the wagon = shag'n'wagon.  Now I get it.  Duh.  I thought it meant something else!  :P :bang:

That 305 I think made about 70hp to the wheels - they're soooooooo slooooooooow.  But those Gen 2 cars are pretty good platforms and you could add some juice without any trouble.

The colour scheme on the '81 Formula is gorgeous.

I would totally rock it, that Audi is gorgeous and in my dream "90s" garage. Just needs a turbo chirping away and you are in Group B nostalgia heaven.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I meant more in terms of reliability and maintenance costs...
