I know I've said it before, but this time I really mean it. I must win the lottery this week. Yes, it's a Dodge Dart with a 440, with at least 375 hp.

Iron Curtain classic.  FSO hoped to sell these in North America, hence the huge bumpers.  I know that there is at least one of these in TO.

So I found out last night that my buddy ended up with this car, apparently the winning bidder couldn't get it imported in the end (not sure why), so my buddy bought it off the winning bidder after a month. It's on it's way from Calgary to Toronto right now, should arrive by next Tuesday. He unloaded his Datsun 260Z to make space. Now they have the 2002, a 77 Bronco, an 88 VW Cabrio, an 87 Jeep Grand Wagoneer and a 2011 335i. He also said he thinks they're gonna unload the Cabrio as well now, he's renting a separate garage just for the cars right now  :rofl2:

Here's a link to the build, insane amount of time the guy put in. http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showthread.php?94857-1972-BMW-2002-Build

I just read through the whole build series....that thing is utterly gorgeous. I love the resto-mod build and the thoroughness of it all. Just an amazing little car, I'm not a huge BMW guy but that little thing, do want!!!

I read the whole thing this morning as well, what a project! Can't wait to see it in person when it arrives. Might have to take the 951 for a run down to Toronto soon [emoji16]

I watched some back-to-back episodes of this show last month:  Big Easy Motors.  I found it quite interesting.  Plus, the backdrop is New Orleans, so... neat atmosphere.

Seems some of these old British cars aren't too terribly hard to get into...of course I'm sure you can drive them all summer for years to come without issue...right?

Good price on the TR6. They never came in black though; so not only is it wearing a cheap (orange peel) paint job, but it's also a color change. Looks decent otherwise though, especially at that kinda money.

My last trip in the TR6 was delivering it to the buyer in Vancouver.  A great fall road trip - traffic was light and the weather cool with cold mornings.  The car had no top, so I tried to time the travel with a good forecast.  I managed to arrive in Vancouver at 5:00pm, was stuck in rush hour traffic and it was POURING rain.  I was so soaked when I got to my destination.  I'd warned the buyer that the throw out bearing was 99.99% shot, and sure enough, it broke right as I pulled into his driveway.  Hilarious that a British car decided to break only after getting to it's destination.

I can't keep myself from ogling this near-perfect, street-spec 427 Cobra from ERA Replicas that's for sale in (the appropriately named) Sunland CA: www.cobracountry.com/cars-for-sale/era-street-version-427-cobra-chastan/

It's not cheap at nearly $70K USD, but it's old enough to be legally imported into Canada. The colour, powertrain and Sunburst wheels are absolutely perfect. The only thing to change would be to swap out the Stewart-Warner gauges for a proper set of Smiths. hubba-hubba-hubba...
