I am actually really fond of the C3, anything pre '78 when they got the ugly bubble rear window. One day when I have more storage space I'll have a C3 in the permanent collection. I am partial to the converts, so a black/black chrome bumpered car would suit me fine....Or a '73/74 Convertible as long as it had the Silver interior:

For a C3, I'd stick with 68-70. They became progressively worse after that.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

^ True, from a performance perspective for sure....But that doesn't mean much to me. The fact that most modern sedans out perform anything consider classic makes the performance of said classics a moot point to me; I just like the style and the way they make you feel behind the wheel. Don't need to have the most desirable, highest output model to appreciate those aspects.

^^I'd say kinda like this... http://driving.ca/auto-news/news/five-acres-for-sale-beside-the-trans-canada-highway-in-b-c

LOL. Don't think I have the heart to let that many old cars sit outside and rot; but it wouldn't be hard to accumulate 300+ given the means and space :D

Except for the colour, this is the exact model my Dad bought new when I was a 4 y.o. Matchbox collector:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-peugeot-504/

I suspect the bids will stay low. I'd be tempted if it was in VT, NH or ME.

Michael, the guy I'm dating who lives in Connecticut, had one of these; gas, not diesel.  He loved it and kept it for 11 years.  Engine and transmission were solid.  Rust killed it.  It replaced a very unreliable Volvo 144, and was followed by a Renault 18i (worst car he ever owned).  The other Euro car in his history was a Boxster.  Otherwise Accords, and Acura CL, Subaru Forester, and a Passat.  He currently has a 2016 Maxima.

Considering those are now million dollar plus cars for the regular F1s, you don't have, and probably never will have, enough nuts.

Haha!  I just realized that I didn’t include the Passat among the Euro cars he owned - because it was that made in the USA version of the Chinese Passat thing.

PS - You don’t live in CT either.

Hmmm...good? Bad? Or ugly?
1980 MGB Project $3500
MGB conversion project GM V6 3.4L fuel injected with 5-speed transmission.

Could be fun when it's done...even if it is a suckyass 3.4, it'll have 2-3 times the power it came with from the factory.  Might want to consider a lowly 327 or something instead... :D

Usually white cars become "resale red" at some point, this one had the reverse treatment. Scary rockers on this one, especially with a heavy V6 mod.

Price is steep for the year, but the pics make it look amazing, so if it's that good, then the price isn't bad.  One hulluva vehicle.
