OMG I want...  :lick: :inlove:  There are 2 white one's in MB for sale...been online all winter...maybe longer.  Wonder if the blue one will sell faster.  I guess despite being the performance bargain of the decade, it's a lower model than the 2SS...so unlike Porsche who takes things away and charges more for (not having) them...Chevy's done it how it makes sense...right?  Anyway...the pics...the ad...the dream.

I think I'd take that over a new Mustang...all day long.  Not that I'd turn my back on my old friend...but sexier is sexier...and who doesn't like to see a middle aged turd popping out of an SS? How is THAT not sexy?  ;D Good thing it has gunslit windows.  :P (wonder if I can even get in and out...stupid knees... >:()

I like you

Notice that rear view camera is one of the first things the ad lists.  Ya, like that was at the top of my mind with this car.

Actually given the sight lines it might be a very well used feature!

The side shot makes the rear 1/4 look kinda fat..but in reality, it aint.  Saw a yellow SS on my way home today, and even from afar it's a striking car. Much better than the last (and possibly next) version/revision.

Seriously, just after sitting in one I would never consider it. The Mustang is a glass house by comparison.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

That E55 wagon seems to be reasonably priced.

Shared this in our #cars channel at work and people asked if the seller had accidentally added an extra zero to the price.  ::)

if you knew this car, you would not be asking that...

rare future classic right there, and their values are starting to go way up

I know these cars...and I question it.  Sure, if you're a lover of Renault..or stubby, somewhat ugly hot hatch cars..then yes.  This is a future classic...albeit one with a limited audience.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

well it is a bit of a deal actually, considering in the UK these are going, RHD mind you, for 25k POUNDS. It also has been imported and made legal here.

Yes..it's a deal for the 3 people who care about this car and have $40K to blow.

Sorry..I just don't consider this a universal future classic. (unlike Italian cars, some Porsche, muscle cars, some Japanese muscle,  etc)

you would be surprised at the cult following this car has, for a while it was THE French hot hatch to lust after, and the first in some time to even care about - a crazy mid mounted V6 hot hatch with real performance numbers. Also built with the help of TWR, and Porsche Racing. Real pedigree. Also it is a real man's car - no room for luggage at all, a big na V6 in the cabin with you, manual, RWD.

Not something I would personally fall over to get in my garage, but many love it and I totally understand why.

The audience HERE is very limited.  You might get good money for it, but it might take a looooooong time to sell.

just because a car is not available in a country does not mean it is not coveted by enthusiasts, my local Italian car club can attest to that (me included)

are you saying there is also a tiny market for Lancia Delta Integrale, Stratos, Ford Sierra and Escort Cosworths, JDM Spec 90s sports cars, Euro Spec M3s, etc.? Yes, it is not a huge market like Camaro and Mopar guys...but there are enough enthusiasts to keep the grey market alive and well here.

It's still a small market.  And a very unusual car might take serious effort to sell.
