Yeah, super popular color. My Sonoma is Pewter Metallic (not sure if Light Pewter Met is different), if memory serves mine is paint code 382E, which was pretty popular. I wasn't a fan of the color then, but as I usually do, I bought the best truck I could get a good deal on and wasn't too worried about the color. Over time it grew on it, hides the dirt well, and when shined up I thought it looked decent, it was a good contrast to the dark tint and blingy rims.

I predicted it awhile ago, but the 800's are now starting to get a lot of attention - they were great trucks.

I had a 2002 regular cab 4x4 with a 4.8.
That was a great truck, too bad the frame was made of swiss-cheese.

My 06 2500 was that color as well.

Your Sonoma is older though, right? I think that the Light Pewter was more of a silver (which was gaining popularity at the time) and the earlier pewter was a bit darker. What annoyed me most about it wasn't just that it was super popular on the trucks but it was popular across the entire Chevy lineup. Cavaliers, Corvettes, Camaros, Impalas, Blazers, etc.

Oh boy, I like that a lot.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Mine is a 2000, so not really older, but I know from my original attempts to fine a proper color match, there were different versions and shades of 'GM pewter at the time'. Mine has more beige in it than others.

Ah, for some reason I thought yours was before the '98 facelift for some reason.

Saw that last night. Not sure I've ever seen a Type 3 notchback. Neat looking car.

How about this 161 mile 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, currently at $4,690,420 with ten days to go. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2017-ferrari-laferrari-aperta/

Or a 1943 Chrysler M4A4 Sherman Tank. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1942-chrysler-m4a4-sherman/

A nice one FS in Hope, BC,   $35k

Based on your experience is this a good asking price?

It has some nice upgrades and looks to have been someone's baby.  Hard to tell of course from photos, but it looks like it could be worth it.

The lower mileage drivetrain is nice, as is the disk brakes.
Some more details would be nice, like does it have fuel injection?
If you're towing, does it have lower final drive gears?
What added goodies do I see under the steering wheel?
How old are the tires, fuel lines, brake lines, coolant lines, etc.?
What other upgrades.

IF everything is sorted with nice upgrades and it looks good, it's worth it.  (I see it has the rear AC, nice if it's hot)

Also, for comparison, they are asking $45kUSD for this '78

I need you to come and inspect it.   One of the only real fears I have for something like this is the 455 and the fuel economy in a world of high gas price as it makes longer distance touring expensive. I no longer have a close contact in the lower mainland so it is a big commitment to go have a look in person.
