BW, sorry to say, your kid is on glue lol That red one looks oh so much better than the black one. Those big wheels fill up those arches beautifully.

Lighten up Francis.....

The red one has also been lowered too, making those wheel arches better filled.

I'd say there's a happy medium somewhere -- not quite as small as the 16s (?) on that black car, but not quite as over-sized as the 19s(?) on the red one would suit my tastes.

Either way, a gorgeous car.

I'll have to ask him eh? He loves when I email him at work - "why aren't you working!?" (he asks me) I'll let you know what I find out...

So...also...I checked Kijiji across Canada...and you're close, right? In your back yard?  Go check it out! (how can I get it shipped here?  Is it worth that much? Will I be forgiven? and all that...)

I like that Plymouth Neon.  Who wants to bet it will eventually go for more than the original sticker price?

100% it will.

Given the skyrocketing collectible car costs these days, that doesn't even seem half-bad for what appears to be a clean machine.  *shrug*...  how much less desirable are the 633s though?

No idea, are they that much different other than engine size?  Nice thing is it's a manual...ripe for a 6l LS swap and a Tremec  ;D. Assuming that little 6 sucks balls. Even an old Ford 5.0 small block...of course the rear end couldn't handle that so need to find a 9" pumpkin and...hmmm...how much is a 370Z...??  Oh wait...it's the looks I love...so what if it's slower than the Sonic.  It's cooler than the Sonic.

If it received a full repaint, should the back of the inner door frame be gold/beige?

I remember we went to UK and visited a friend of father's. He had a red M6 of that generation. Wow. So much more exotic than the Datsun wagon we had.  8)

The Euro M6 had six individual throttle bodies, the NA models didn't and had a lot less hp.

A friend of mine has a Euro version he used to autocross with

He had the euro model. He gave me dad a ride in it but not me. My father cared little for cars too but I suppose I would have 10-12 years old but I remember the car like yesterday.  :'(

Those 6 series cost a fortune to keep in good condition, as the body panels rust like crazy and are extremely expensive to replace.

I agree on the wheels, 17"-18" would look OK. Those large ones don't look good IMHO.

Somewhere, in a 1964 Ford Galaxie, far far away...
Hot damn this is pretty...but so much money.

Wonder what that dashboard came out of.  I suppose whoever built it spent well north of $50g.

Speaking of crazy prices, a 1985 Corolla liftback GTS, unmodded but with some minor needs and rust, went for 40k USD on BaT.

Back before I bought my S2000 there was a 230SL listed locally that caught my eye.  I used to see it driving around from time to time and it looked to be in really good shape.  The only reason I didn't check it out is because it was over what i was willing to spend aa the time.  Don't remember the exact price but it was ~$40k.  It was red and similar to this 280SL.  Looking back now it would have been a pretty good investment after all.   ;D

The 230 would be worth quiet a bit less than the 280 but still... :o

So basically the same as what it cost when new.

It's kinda sorta a bit interesting but what is someone realistically going to do with it?

The seller previously sold a 1600 mile SRT-4 on BaT. No clues as to the buyer's motivation as this is their first time bidding on BaT.

Buyer likes collecting Plymouths?
