It’s a modded VW SP2 - a Brazilian VW.

Thanks for the info, rev!

I'd sure love to have another. think the body lines are just beautiful on them. Those cars seem to be only two ways, mint or beat, not much in between. They also had a real problem with frame rust. I've seen many with decent body's but have a swiss cheese frame. Nice ones are sure coming up in value. I expect that 83 to hit at least 15K.

Off I go to looksee if there's any for sale locally!

Take a trip

Looking at hatch's on my Kijiji app...
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2010-mazdaspeed3-turbo-clean-title-cheapest-in-mb-by-5k/1480166052
2010 Mazdaspeed3 Turbo $11,400

Or this one
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2010-mazdaspeed-3-turbo/1474205585
for $16,800 (better colour)

Not sure it's worth $5000 more.  Or $10k more than my Fusion - which was more $ to begin with.   >:(

The other guy's only asking $11,400...cheapest one in the province!!

Probably the only two in the province.

Drove one of these when they first came out...is it a better car?  Don't know.  Is it a fun car? Hell yes.  (Too bad the seats are shyte - or maybe it's I'm just too wide. Worse now since I'm not the same size as I was then, but fun car it would be).  I'd love one of these with the US fatass seats in it.  Fack my mpgs would suck like a Hoover.  And...
Only $200 more than the blue Mazda
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2014-ford-focus-st/1471956682
Arguably better looking (none of that boy-racer hood scoop crap - I'm not 19 anymore...despite my feet)

Yeah, that Focus is a wicked car. Though I have to say, for a hot hatch, the Fiesta ST is still my favorite by far.
Lighten up Francis.....

A wholesaler I know offered me a 2008 Mazda 3speed last week for $3500, it had 104,000 km and bills for a brand new timing chain and tensioners too......I thought that was too much lol.

A Speed3 is sort of specialty interest car and often commands higher values over an average run of the mill car.

I still need to own a Corvair at some point. Shame this one is a Powerglide as I'd buy it if a 4spd.

I'd love to do something like that with an electric drivetrain.

Could be kind of cool with a Tesla swap in it.

Talking about swaps...I was going to suggest this instead...a HEMI in a Corvair...
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-autos-camions/ville-de-montreal/2014-chrysler-300-srt8-v8-6-4-ballon-ok/1458942973
Is $9,000 a good deal for an un-back-halfed car??  'tis an SRT 6.4l.  Lots of good swap parts in there.

And then I thought, nah. Fack that!  If I had a few thousands to spare, and could pick up that SRT...I'd want it in this.
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/grande-prairie/1966-dodge-polara-2dr-coupe/1455420451

Too bad they let it slip into disrepair... :'(

So, I thought I'd check autotempest...and damn!  Hard car to find!!  This one's barely better than the Cdn car, and 50% more money.  And a lot farther to drive to get it.
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/cto/d/phoenix-dodge-polara-2-door-coupe/7032910123.html

Would love it though with that 6.4 and some interior parts moved over.  Ken-dig it!  Yes he would!  ;D  :skid: O0

My in-laws friends grand son is the "kid" who won the $50m in AB...wonder if I can make a new friend.  :shuffle:

Electric Corvair - https://unlincoln.exposure.co/recharging-a-classic

A Telsa powered one would be a real rocket. Something like a crash Leaf as a donor would be less expensive.

Hey Bubba, looking for a cheap ride back from Arizona?
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-dodge-aries-k-wagon/?fbclid=IwAR2gNLC19dQGowuvMa8VHJiI7EkaBKkNZQC8x082adj29z0E9AYQEqlk_g8

Sitting in a sea of red!  Back when I worked at a Dodge dealership, we beat on these things mercilessly, and they kept coming back for more.

I'd love to show up for cruise night in this thing.

Thanks for posting.  I've added this auction to my Watching list.  Current bid: $1984.   ;D
