perfect winter car for me?  It is in the price range! :rofl2:
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Wow! That looks clean!  It says All Offers Accepted - so, go all in at $844.81!  1 penny for every km.  Round it to $900 maybe.  Might as well start low.

It would be fine, they hold up well, but if you're going to have a N* Cadillac as a winter beater you're better off doing what I did and getting a newer one for the same money - more modern features, and you're not ruining a super well preserved STS.

For reference; my dad's 95....Currently at 312,000kms, used every winter since 95...and for the last few years used only in the winter. No rust on the body at all, it was Krown'd, but not babied.

Still one pretty car! Some of those Northstars wold just go on forever. My Uncle had a 94 that he finally traded in with over 300k of reliable service.

I'd buy a clean one in a heartbeat and pray to the headstud god daily.

Let's not get crazy here...it's a 90s GM, nothing more. There's nothing remotely special about this car and the mileage is already well beyond the rare "time capsule" status and firmly into "driver" status. Would you think the same if this was a similar vintage Avalon or Accord or Lincoln Continental?

The only thing someone would risk ruining if they bought this car is their credibility by thinking it's special enough to warrant continued "preservation". :) LOL

Oddly enough, someone reached out to me recently when they found a 1 owner, 1995 Lexus LS400 with similar mileage. At no point did the thought of "preserve" or "ruin" ever cross my mind. But rather "you'd have a nice car to drive for the next 400k without spending a ton of dough to buy".

I feel the same about this Cadillac. Buy it, drive it, enjoy it.  You have a pretty nice car that you didn't drop a ton of coin on. The only crime here would be NOT racking up mileage on this car and just enjoying it.

Yes, I would....it's a 25 year old car that looks brand new - I find that exciting, and if you look through the pages of relatively mundane, but mint low mileage examples, cars that have recently sold on BAT you'll find that I am not alone. That Sonoma from a few posts back is a prime example.....

Here's my STS story. Never owned one, but way back when these were new, wife-to-be and I drive SIL to her grad party at a Montreal area hotel, and I see a couple walk in from a pearl white STS. I recognized the face, although I had never seen the guy in person before. I casually walk toward the front desk just to hear him say his name to the clerk, and sure enough it was Brock Yates, along with Lady Pamela.

Jeez, how would you keep those back tires from burning up?  Looks like fun trying.  Way more than the 27 hp the one we had growing up.  ;D

I found my bosses ex-car.  Low k's, nice car.  Traded it on a brand new one.  Was considering Q50, G70...I was trying to help push...but, he's close to retirement and didn't want to spend $50+ on a new car.  Guess a new Maxima's a smokin' deal.   New car is dark blue.

Who knows, this might even be the car he bought.
