Looks great, footlong58.

Thanks all. Took a long way home last night since it was the last beautiful sunny evening before the rain. Hwy 99 south to Ladner then on the somewhat twisty South Fraser Perimeter Road east to Surrey. Absolutely loved every minute of it. Looking forward to racking up the kms all summer.

Ha ha, great luggage rack!

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

The 6 pack sits on the passenger seat and is held tight with a bungee net.  Works well.

Or if you're a bit of a drinker, something like this:

Lol the belt idea is great.

If they made a rear rack like this for the CBR 125R/250R it would work as well.

But I'm planning on getting a ~40L Shad top case and rack anyway.

It took two short weeks to do another thousand, hit 4,000km on the odometer, including ride on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway to Squamish as a birthday treat for myself.

We were moving to Kelowna and I thought I had to sell it to fund the move. Turns out I didn't, but I'm not going to get a bike again for a little while. Reason: I need to save up to buy a house, and it absolutely pains me to not have a bike right now. So I'm only allowing myself to buy another bike after I buy a house, hoping that the pain and desire to ride will make me save every last nickel for a house.

Driving is cheap in Kelowna anyway and I've been getting reacquainted with my Mazda 3 and driving some of the great roads in the area, but man it'll be so much better on a bike.

For the record, I sold it a whole two months ago. It's taken me a long time to get over it. And it had 5,000km on the clock. I lost the tax I paid on it.

Sorry to hear you sold the bike, just read it now.

I hope to get a Honda CB300F in 2-3 years.  And keep meaning to do it, but getting my license too!

Thanks! And yes that is a rare VTR250. Not a bad little bike, quite peppy, good handling, just a little cramped but the riding position was a nice cross between a dual sport and a CBR 125R.

I had a choice of riding a Harley Davidson Street 500 as well, but I decided to stick with something close to what I'm comfortable with.

I had an original sales brochure for that VTR up until about a year ago.

Once again, I'm on two wheels! Here's my 2004 Yamaha Vino 125. Runs quite well but needs a tiny bit of work to clean and adjust the carb. Only does about 50-60 km/h at the moment but should cruise at 70-80 and top out at 90-95 on the ~7.5 HP motor when all's said and done. A bit lower than my CBR 125R's 90 cruising speed and 120 top speed on the 13 HP motor but it's ok. I did get it to 88 km/h down a hill, it's surprisingly stable for a small scooter on 3.5x10 tires.

Lol 140...
