It looks rogue  ;D  I liked the boxy one better. 6spd auto makes lower trim levels even a better choice.

I must admit, the look is growing on me.

No kidding. It's fun to think of prospective CUV buyers visiting autos.ca as part of their research and discovering derision directed at them by autos.ca.

This isn't derision. There's a huge need and market for this type of vehicle. I've been a solid fan of Minivans and modern SUVs with this kind of stuff in it. The first time I played video games in a car, I was like a kid in a candy store. I was over 30 by this point. This is my idea of a wet dream family hauler. Except, if my kids were teenagers and licenced, they'd be driving on the road trip and I'd be in the back playing video games.

This is far from derision. This is fact. A well-priced utility vehicle with a first-class entertainment system for your family or friends in the back. This is awesome. Soccer mom and dads are targeted by Honda for this vehicle. They've clearly said it themselves. It's a wet dream just as a sub-2500 lb RWD with a 6-speed manual pumping out 275 whp with a proper 2-way diff car for under $25,000 is MY wet dream. Add on multimedia for video games for the back seats and it surpasses wet dream status.

i think if family and friends can't be in the back of a vehicle without "a first-class entertainment system" and playing video games, there's something really gone wrong.

since when can people or even kids not entertain themselves without having to be a rolling couch.

just stay in your living room.

I would complain about this stuff myself... but it's 2015 now. There's no going back. I stopped complaining about it once I realized I was as guilty as the rest. I console myself with the fact there are SOME things I still hold sacred, like no phones while dinnering... but the old family model where people actually talked to each other is gone for most. In a few years, we'll all be walking around with micro-implants in our eyes.

With that being said, I agree with you. It'd be nice if we could put our devices down for a second... but that's no longer the mass market. And the people that know me in person know that I'm a "people first" kinda guy and I do encourage proper human interaction over living in your device.

No need to explain to me, I'm not a soccer parent. I'm just an irreverent forum member taking shots from the cheap seats.

Looks like a CR-V mated with a Kia Borrego or a Traverse.

No worries at all. Just wanted to clarify as I didn't want to come across like I was taking the :censor: out of potential buyers that need/want a vehicle like this.

And I appreciate all comments from our readers. Good and bad!

Cheers.
