I have a friend who has a Santa Fe Limited with the saddle brown leather. It's very nice and the kind of vehicle you would want on a long road trip. Definitely lots of room and comfort for the first two rows. The huge panoramic sunroof is excellent running the length of the car. The one dislike I had was the cushy, wallow like ride.  I haven't ridden in a Hyundai with a suspension that I liked, but I haven't ridden in them all.

I really, really want sour keys now :(

I still have to compare this to a minivan, and I simply don't see the benefit other than image.  If image is really that important, then yeah, this seems like a good little rig.  Certainly a nice offering, but I think getting pricey for what it is (again, compared to minivans - the Sienna in particular).

Re. "The Santa Fe XL feels really luxurious inside, the black leather is a decent quality, the steering wheel feels well-sized and the overall cabin styling is welcoming and homely."

I take it you meant "homey" = familiar, comfortable, rather than "homely" = fugly?

Really good review overall and a very solid product from Hyundai.

It is winter in Canada after all. Also I believe auto writers take what they can get, when they can get it by the manufacturers.

Jacob,

The caption of the photos say XL Limited, but the one you reviewed is XL Luxury.  Threw me off when I didn't see the navigation and ventilated seats while looking at the photos before reading the article.

Sorry but the Corvette is stuck in its parking spot and they can't get the accord past the end of their driveway. ...its winter.

Good review. That 4.2" screen sure is teeny-tiny, especially how its designed with a ginormous zooming away bezel. I wonder if they save any money by having the smaller screen or is it meant to make you want to pony up to the larger screen?

The biggest benefit is AWD.  The AWD Sienna decked out is over $49k.
