Like the interior. But the exterior...my gosh... Fugly... The previous one was more classy.

Back in the fall of 1960 at the tender age of 13, I got to witness an exercise in styling desperation known as the Dodge Polara Wagon :

https://www.flickr.com/photos/hugo90/4633625073/

Apparently in the twenty teens, bereft of any reasonable styling direction, and lead by a choleric Brazilian French person, Nissan has dug up the Polara's bones for a modern take. What an inspired choice.

Of course, in the tender hands of autos.ca writers, where a spade is never a spade, but a modern discerning and upmarket yet stylish take on a piece of driftwood, the Murano occupies FOUR full paragraphs of florid description of its styling.

"The effect is highly modern, yet elegant."

" Nissan aimed to recapture that spark of innovative and eye-catching design "

Spare me the hyperbole, that's just a load of old cobblers. Autos.ca is just an advertorial site so far as I can see. Responsibility to the lender of the vehicle, hence possible advertiser first, readers, well - hope you can read between the lines buddy. Plus, all these AJAC writers have to make a living to put beans on the table, etc. etc.

But it's all grinding mediocrity, the selling of soul, the praising of utter lameness, the D- grade given an A. Reality? What's that?

" Nissan Pathfinder Forum. ... Official Link to Nissan Technical Service Bulletins ( TSBs) · Add ... Lawsuit Against Nissan for 2013/2014 Pathfinder Transmission."

Same car underneath, this Murano. That's reality.

A final example of deathless prose: " It’s modern without being demanding, and high tech without being frustrating or quirky, even if it’s not exactly cutting edge." That about covers all the bases of nothingness. I'm sure Nissan is happy.

I'll sum up the vehicle: Looks like a surprised lesser-horned Asian tree toad caught in the act of defecation, with a forgettable powertrain, vague handling and memory foam seats. If spotted in the wild, avoid contact at all costs. If purchased, you have only yourself to blame for paying wildly over the odds for a forgettable experience until the CVT goes south, which will then produce more fun and much flailing about than you ever bargained for.

So stop visiting.  You'd probably be happier, and surely we would.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

This.  All negative criticism with little to nothing to add.

The Murano has never been an attractive vehicle to me at all, this is just way worse. There is no attractive angle or saving grace.
Lighten up Francis.....

I actually don't mind the looks of the new Rogue, Pathfinder and Murano. However, the CVT issues with the Pathfinder would certainly make me hesitant to take a chance on any of them.

Mitsubishi Mirage...a somewhat lateral move from a bus pass.

Saw a white one on Friday night. The rear end definitely caught my attention.

I checked it out at the Autoshow, loved it! They had the platinum model with the white interior and orange exterior. I must be in the minority, I think the design is fantastic.

One quibble about that white interior though. After a week and a couple of days with people crawling all over it, the seats had a nice blue tint from people's jeans. Very comfy and spacious but my kids would ruin the interior in a week.
2019 Mazda 3 GS-L, 2013 Ram 1500 and an EV that cost 5 times what my Mazda3 costs but is louder with a crappier interior.

My Odyssey has light grey leather seats and I notice the denim transfer.  Every month or two, I get out my leather cleaner and it comes out easily.

that's good to know...it was probably the nicest looking interior of any 'mainstream suv/cuv' I've been in.

While I hated the first Murano iteration  :hurl: and can't believe it was as popular as it was, I do like this one, at least in the pictures. The interior is particularly well executed, IMO.
I'm not familiar with its reliability record, but I would put it on my shopping list if I were in the market.

They've been having failures, shuddering issues, etc.
