But why bother?  I'd rather converse with you than just ignore you, but you seem intent on just starting ridiculous arguments.  I have no idea why.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

I wasn't TRYING to ruffle your feathers.  But you took it a bit personal (maybe?) Just a teeny jab I've always had about Lotus-bodied cars using Toyota power...which is why I consider them a quasi kit car.

Lighten up, man!  It's not about you...it was about the car.  I certainly didn't expect you to get so butt hurt over a three word reply.

And I like shooting the breeze with you too.   :)

I know Porsche fans won't like that opinion, but like Vman, I (pretend to) buy what I like, not what the internet likes.  I used to love driving a stripped out car every day.

Says the man driving a manual diesel wagon... :)

Sorry, purely meant as a joke but couldn't resist, my apologies
I love it when a plan comes together.

As I've said before, I'm at a different stage of my life right now.  Done the stripped out racer thing, doing the kids/wagon thing, looking forward to the powerful sedan thing, and if my body can take it, looking even more forward to the kids at college/stripped out racer thing again!  ;D

Agreed.  Every one of his posts in this thread relates to how others may or may not perceive the car.

Just buy a CLA and get the best "badge bang" for your buck.

since most people have no idea what a lotus is over here in Canada, i can except the wing because i know a guy who buys that car is hardcore and he's probably taking his car to the track. when i see a porsche, esp a 911, it's a different story.

Maybe you should publish an auto enthusiast's guide to rear-spoiler doucherie.

...and perhaps another about how to judge strangers by the cars they drive.

Oh.  I didn't realize we were conducting a non judgemental group hug session.   Carry on.  I'm all ears.  And next time that douche rides his extra loud, look at me!!!!, motorcycle at 80kph down my street I'll wave him down and try to give him a hug.

Sounds like me, but I bought it like that and it's a great exhaust (the only downside is the excessive noise for street use).. and I would prefer if people would not look.

Also, isn't the real douche the guy, who judges everyone by what they drive/ride. I think it would be pretty boring and limiting, if everyone would only drive vehicles you would classify as non-douchy.

Revved up like a deuce,

Fack, that sounds awesome.

Yeah, people should really be embarrassed to drive the likes of that!
