How should Noto and his Turd of a friend get to Tremblant this weekend?

Porter flights (directly to Mont Tremblant) ($449pp)
2 (15.4%)
Via Rail ($190pp, but only goes to Mtl, thereafter we'd rent a car with winter tires for $29 for the weekend and return by train)
0 (0%)
Rent a car in the GTA ($87 all-in for the weekend, but 'new' all-season tires, according to the sack at the local rental car counter...)
4 (30.8%)
Don't bother going - too expensive, Tremblant is sh!t, and your friend is equally made of fecal matter
7 (53.8%)

So why do you list all these cars that aren't yours in your profile?  ???
I drive the Corolla to/from work.  On weekends, I drive the RX400h (and occasionally, I drive that to work).  Other than this year while Lady Noto is away doing an internship, I drive the Fozzie all the time after work.

I don't list my brothers' cars, nor Lady Noto's parents' cars, which I drive occasionally.  I do drive those 3 frequently and that's why they're listed there.

This isn't the first time I've explained my car usage, why is everyone acting so surprised?

because when he peers out of his basement room  in mama Noto's house he can see them out there.    ;D

I live upstairs, thank you very much  :rofl2:

...what do you guys want from me?  My Lady lives in the US; I work long hours; I have only been practicing for 2 years; and Lady Noto sure as sh!t isn't contributing to my cost of living.  Why waste the money now?  In June I'll be house hunting, and while normally I'd ask all ya'll for help, you've all been pretty mean to me today  >:(

...except for you, Blotter, and tooscoops.  You two are :winner: s ;D

Agreed.   You'll regret that sh!tty drive more than the couple hundred bucks missing from your wallet.

Fly.

Nope.  I wash, dry, and fold my undies all by myself!

Mommy's so proud.  :rofl2:

I'm leaning towards the Porter idea, but then I'm more inclined to just fly to Calgary for the weekend :P it would cost the same...

It is good to tease you Noto.  After all you are a lawyer and young...you only seem to have 1st world problems.   Note there is nothing personal in the teasing...we tease mmret as well about his problems with rattles in his cars that no else would notice...yet more 1st world problems   ;D

I like fobroader's idea to get an FRS.
Couldn't you borrow the Corolla in exchange for a new set of winter tires .

I like the VIA option, personally. Trains are fun, and comfortable.

I'd agree on the train if it actually went right to Tremblant. Having to get a car a drive out from Montreal would ruin the whole "spend the trip in the club car" train advantage.  ;D

See....you just have enough time to go to a Subaru dealer and have them throw a set of studded winter on a BRZ before the weekend lol

I know - it's all fun :)

I like the VIA option, personally. Trains are fun, and comfortable.
The train goes to Mtl, where we'd have to get a rental from the airport.

The problem is that the last train leaves Toronto at 6:00pm, and the turd friend works in Woodbridge until 5pm - he is unlikely to make the 6:00pm departure.  That, and prices have jumped a bit to the point that it's probably better just to fly.

Snowman, Air Canada doesn't fly to Tremblant - only Porter :(  (we'd get drunk in the hour of airtime, though ;D)

Papa Noto is pissed about mileage so he won't give me permission to drive his car.

At this point, I'm leaning with the majority to call off the weekend and go rock climbing instead.  Not apples to apples, but can play Cards Against Humanity at night afterwards ;D  (get it?)

Drinks on me if you can convince Snowman and DriverJeff to come out. A Cards Against Humanity night with those two would be priceless.
