Brother had his motorcycle tent trailer stolen from his bike this morning in Saskatoon.  They were staying in a hotel (he's off to Sturgis and his wife will be heading home after visiting their son) and some jackoff just grabbed it and ran...

I hate people.

My youngest brother had his Pilot stolen a month ago off the street in front of his house.  Go ahead...it's got over 300k on it...they found it and it's getting fixed.  Shucks! They could've had that one lol.

Yeah, that one hit close to home for me.  I kayak almost everyday, and sometimes in that general area.  I can see that lake from my property.  I was boating in that lake a day, or two before this happened and makes me wonder if it was that guy I saw paddling way out in the lake. Reason I noted it is because it was it was very choppy that day and made me think it must have been a hard core paddler to that be that far out in rough water.  It gets choppy in that lake really quickly as it's relatively shallow. It's almost always choppy in there. Not my favorite place for boating for that reason alone. 

The main problem is that some boats are going too fast, and most of the fast boat guys up there drive like assholes.  Some are just way too big and too fast for a busy river system.  Can't be easy to see a kayak in choppy water when your doing >80mph.  Some of those boats are capable of >120mph.  One guy up there has an offshore fast boat that has a canopy with gun slit windows like the one pictured below and he routinely drives it >100mph even in the middle of the night.  Boats like that won't even get up on plane properly unless they are going much faster than the top end of most regular speed boats.
