I saw a video of some nasal surgery, and the Doctor had a hammer with what look like a small chisel and was just hammering away in the nose...no big deal.   :fall:

I guess your surgery is   Outpatient
In the '70's , you would have gone in the hospital the day before , and stayed in a day or two
From what I remember about my Nasal surgery

Incredibly tragic weekend! 

My friend's daughter-in-law died this weekend after suffering a major heart attack on Friday.  She was operated on Saturday but didn't make it past Sunday.  This only 12 days after giving birth to her third child, and only girl.  She had two little boys (2 and 9).  She was only 36 years old!   :'(

Such a horrifically tragic event!  I was talking to both of them at one of their family gtgs just over a month ago and they were in great spirits.  They had moved into their beautiful new waterfront home late last year, bought a new boat recently, and were excitedly looking forward to their future.  They both had very successful careers and both were the pillars of their family.  Such a lovely couple that seemingly had a brilliant future together. 

I've been through many tragedies throughout my life and have lost many family members and friends, but this one is by far the most tragic!  The funeral will be unbelievably heart wrenching!  I feel so bad for the family. 

Man, I had a hard time typing this all out!  :'(

so sad indeed. i'm a similar age and don't worry about blood pressure and the like, but I suppose i'm not as young as I once was. things like this just make me look at my family and both cherish them as well as fear for them should anything happen to me...

Just found out my grandfather passed away.  He was a giant of a man, and a pillar in his community until dementia set in about 8 years ago.

At least it will be a celebration of a life lived. I've been too to many funerals for young people, so my heart goes out to you KD. That's tragic.
