My daughter came out of an early morning fitness class in the Gastown neighbourhood of Vancouver to find 2 windows smashed out of the Rogue and the car ransacked.  >:(

Oh crap! Hopefully she didn't lose anything important.

In this day and age, everyone ignores car alarms, because they're so prevalent. All someone can do is keep all items out of view and try to park in a high traffic area.

Not only do I need to spend over $500 to fix our stove, but we've also got an issue with our septic system that requires us to excavate part of it.  :-\

That sucks.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Luckily she only had an afternoon lab today. If she'd been going to an early class her backpack might have been in the car with her Mac Book inside. As it was she just lost some workout clothes and a pair of shoes. Happened in Gastown but only about three blocks from East hastings so I guess not a great surprise.

Isn't Gastown itself pretty sketchy?

that sucks.
i think appliances nowdays don't last very long.
my buddy's fridge up and died, a high end kitchen aid stuff, barely 3 years old.  i thought it would be under warranty but no.  appliance warranties are only 1 year.  fxck.

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

It is/was but it's well on the way to gentrification....lots of little cafes, bars, boutiques etc springing up and lots of loft type condo conversions happening.

We always take out the extended warranty for large appliances and we've always had reason to claim on them.

Probably not a bad idea to pre pay for the repairs. My indi appliance repair guy (age 55-60-ish) loves to go on about what absolute crap today's appliances are.
When my grandfather went to a senior's apt in the early 70's my parents took his  50's era rounded corner Frigidaire and put in the the basement for holiday and party overflow use.  When my dad died 3 years ago it was still there and still running at 55+ years old.

Yup. My grandparents built a house in Calgary in 1959. They bought a new fridge and it was still running strong in that house in the late 90s. Forty years old and no issues. They were doing well when they build the house, so they installed a for-then very fancy dual wall oven set up. Also working as well as the day they bought them forty years later.

All I can offer is never ever buy Samsung appliances! They are absolute garbage (I should have read all the consumer reviews supporting my experence before purchasing) When we bought our home the seller included a $5,000 appliance bonus as they were taking all theirs upon possession. We bought a Samsung washer and dryer, fridge, stove, and dishwasher. This was 9 years ago this October. So far the only one working is the stove (and it's extremely temperamental with its touch screen) The washer/dryer and fridge are gone, replaced entirely by different units as they failed so often and cost so much for repairs. The dishwasher recently stopped working and since we were selling the house I elected to leave it be. I'm so mad at the quality of this stuff I get mad just thinking about it....these were not inexpensive appliances either.

That sucks, in Ontario , it is big money to do anything with a septic system

This shouldn't be too bad. Need to dig up the outlet pipe because it isn't lined up with the outlet hole and it's causing it not to drain properly. Costs $100/hr to run the excavator. Hopefully will be only a few hours.

What AB might be referring to is that in Ontario you won't be allowed to do just that .... officially. :P

Pure CBD or CBD+THC?

Research has shown cbd+thc is far more effective. Basically, allows the cbd to work far more effectively.
