they don't want you going online and building a willys with hard top, upgraded stereo and heated seats only to discover that it is not possible... they are all equipped the same way.

they start with a sport, then add the willys package. this year, they all have
the 6.5" touchscreen radio (no nav)
        dual tops
        a/c
        trailer tow

they did make auto's and standards... so there is that choice, as well as 2 or 4 door and a few colour options.

there might have been one or two they did differently, but the 40 or so i saw on the list for southern ontario/eastern business center just had that.

$2900 for all that? Even for a 4-dr 6-spd? Can I then option a rear diff on a Willys package?

The $2900 doesn't include those options. That's on top of the stuff that is included in the Willys package. 3.73 limited slip diff is standard with the Willy's.

Another thing to take into consideration would be the depreciation on Wrangler's is very minimal, used ones hold their value extremly well!!!!  When I was shopping for mine, I looked at used first and then for a little more money I was able to get a new one thru my brother-in-laws family plan thru Chryco... so that saved me significant dollars, so much so that after 6 months of ownership I could almost sell for close to what I paid (probably a $2k - $3k loss) ... based on what I see out there on AutoTrader & Kjiji right now.

yeah, the willys 2900 includes the stuff listed on this window sticker...  those other items are what they force you to get this year... so if you wanted a/c and dual tops anyway, they are only forcing the trailer tow and touchscreen radio on you... not too bad. if you wanted a stripped willys 4 dr... that's what i had for '14. one of apparently one built! (it was a mistake apparently).

nope. 6.5" touch screen with a 28 gig hard drive and sirius radio for a year... meh... the one option i wouldn't get... if i was getting the screen, i would have opted to pay the extra for nav... but don't have the choice.

I think the black Rubicon wheels (as on the Willy's) are the best looking wheels for  JK.

The first upgrade I picked up was a Gobi Ranger rack the end of last year.  Had to go to the US to get it, this particular rack was impossible to find in Canada.
Fortune favours the bold!

Do you carry stuff on the rack?

I do put the soft top on, tooscoops...it has two hinges on it in the rear...I opted for the quick release mechanisms on the front rather than having to carry a ratchet set to remove the front bolts in order to pivot it back to remove or drop the top.  The hardtop tucks in next to the motorcycle in the garage over the summer.

Looking to get a cab cover from Rampage that I can through over the roll cage that covers the passenger area including when the doors are off.  Easier to do that overnight since I have to park outdoors.

Do you carry stuff on the rack?

Hi pi - I will be, just had it installed last fall.  Am looking for some serious cargo netting to tie down camping gear.  On the rack is a standard 'back' panel that is overhead the rear passengers and a pop out 'front' panel that is over top the front passengers. Also came with the ladder and the wind buffeting device on the front.

The quick release and pop out panel were extra cost options.
