^^Did you get the issues looked after?  Something rattling I think it was?

Front end clunk. It seems fixed after the new brakes got installed.

OK that's it, decision is made.  When I get back to work and off LTD, the C30 is getting Polestarred.   8)

I wouldnt be too impressed if my car needed new brakes (and calipers) at 7k, or even 40,000km.

It just kind of dawned on me how cool the Polestar program is.  Imagine being able to take your regular BMW or Mercedes in to the dealer and getting it M'ed or AMG'd?

Its more like 335is or C450AMG or an APR flash than a real AMG or M (which would be the "real" Polestar car with actually different mechanicals).

That said the fact they make it possible to do after you buy the "normal" car + full warranty is unique I believe.

It definitely is a nice option Volvo offers.  Seems a bit weird that of all car companies to offer a tune, the sensible Sweds's would offer such things.  You'd think they'd offer something that improves the safety or possibly fuel economy, but performance, it's surprising more car companies don't offer this.

Either way...great idea.  Guess I can't harp on you for not getting it chipped now.   ;D

It's been open for so long that it's stuck in that position.

Turned out it was not an oil fire.  Mechanic cleaned out some kind of nest from the area between the exhaust manifold and the turbo charge pipe.  Impossible to see if you weren't looking for it, but he had to clean out maple seeds, cedar needles, grass and other crap.  If I'd been really thinking straight, I would have realized that my little fire: a) didn't smell bad and b) didn't have black smoke.

Oh that's good news!!  When is the tune for it scheduled?

Here's a tune for the 320i from AC Schnitzer.  Doesn't void warranty.  Impressive gains...245HP!

So that is ACS warranty covering whatever is voided of the BMW warranty? Still a bit of a risk.

Impressive gains tho.
