Sorry I had a busy couple of days but I read through everyone's suggestions I appreciate it.
Basically, we have a car allowance plus are paid for business mileage, which is pretty generous - and of the 40k kilometers I do in a year probably 30k are business. The mileage we are paid covers everything so I won't have a separate gas card anymore. Fuel economy is nice but I wouldn't say it's the priority.
But there is definitely a lot of choices to look at. I'll be hitting the dealerships sometime this week to look and test drive some.
A few people suggested Buick and I always associated Buick with the nice soft, bouncy suspension where you don't even feel the road - but I'm just early 30's and don't think I'm at the Buick stage of my life just yet.
I really like the Genesis I think they look awesome. Looks like the base one is around $45k, but I'll definitely check it out, if there's some sort of deals I might be able to swing it. I'm a little torn, part of me wants to spoil myself a bit and get something nice, but the kind of places I drive I also just think of rock chips and broken windshields, and with the luxury brands any kind of maintenance is so expensive. I don't know how the Genesis fits in when it comes to getting things fixed, it's a luxury car, but not a luxury brand. So I don't know if it's cheaper, or still on par with European cars for repair costs? I work with a guy who has a BMW X5 and he had to get one of the whole xenon headlight assembly things replaced and he said it was over $2 grand, ouch.
Thanks again for all the good info!
