It’s Time To Celebrate
The RAV4 50th Anniversary Special Edition is another great reason to celebrate 50 years of Toyota in Canada. Based on the AWD XLE, this RAV4 also boasts exclusive wheels, interior accents, and standard navigation system. The fun starts the moment you get behind the wheel.
Rav4 XLE AWD
        Standard Package   $30,540
   Navigation Package   $31,340
   50th Anniversary Special Edition   $32,400
Soo, you're paying $1,060 for red stitching and 'exclusive wheels'.

The wheels are also larger, and you also get a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
Larger wheels = more expensive tires.  That's never a positive for me.

Especially on an SUV where its pointless. Unless they are covering really large brakes or covered in really wide performance tires, I don't get the bigger wheel thing.
Lighten up Francis.....

And adding a harsher ride to an already harsh-riding CUV?

I find it hard to believe that the Rav4 was rough riding, a buddy of mines mom has a 2011 or 2012, the few times Ive been in it, the thing was cushy.

And then it changed for MY 2013. Based on the seat of the pants experience I think it is similar to the 5 year old 3 series. It's not terribly harsh but it does not suit the CUV. Sure it's great for cornering, but I'd prefer it tuned for comfort.

Sure, I get that and a lot of people are the same way. I'm just saying that if you value the appearance of the larger wheels and the nicer interior, $1,060 isn't a terrible price to pay.

the RAV 4 Sport was slightly rough.  It came with low profile tires and a "sports suspension"
it's the model we ended up with and I was surprised at the difference in ride with the Limited models.

And the Sport's crowning glory was the V6 engine as standard equipment :P
