With that being said, the WRX is still predominantly an Impreza...The only issue I have with this Focus RS is that it retains the "Focus" nomenclature.

I'm more concerned as to how it handles as a daily driver. I would rather an all-around car than one intended solely for use on the track. That's the beauty of the WRX - it's so great for all-around use. The Golf R intends to do that, too. If this RS isn't too monstrous, then it, too, will be a lot of car for $40k.

...still, that transmission is limiting for some.

Don't care about the name. If this Focus (

NoTo) RS is capable of double duty and is a decent daily driver then I WANT IT.
$40K seems ok for the punch it packs.

Yea, it worked "pretty well". But every review I read said they still have FWD understeer....although it was mitigated..a bit.

And I wish the car still had the I-5.

Considering this type of vehicle is exactly what I'm looking for you'd think I'd be excited about this, but I'm not. Mainly because I already have a deposit down on a Golf R, but also because this just isn't my taste. I find it's a bit in your face styled, the interior should be fine but not as good as the Golf IMO. Other problem I have is that germans typically understate their HP ratings while mericans do the opposite. So will 320ish hp actually be more than what is made by the Golf R at 292 hp? Other reason I like the Golf R better is you can adjust the ride. So if I'm feeling like I don't want to be shaked rattled and rolled today I can set it up for comfort. Some people might also be upset that the Focus RS will probably not offer a automatic, but I could care less, manual is the only way to go.

I'm actually more excited about the Fiesta RS, mainly because it will probably be $5,000+ less and offer similar performance to the Focus.

Just found the next replacement for my STI hatch that is unless Subaru wises up and starts selling a hatch STI in the near future. Got to love competition! Thank you very much FORD
